It’s one of the biggest network marketing companies in Asia. The company is based in Hong Kong and they are ultimately popular in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, and India.
Everyone is talking about it.
How does their system really work? Is it really so good as they claim? Is Qnet a scam?

Short Review: QNet is a huge network marketing program that has gained popularity especially in Asia. However, in my eyes, the system seems to be a recruiting scam and it isn’t based on the best values.
If you are interested in making money online, I’d rather recommend checking out my My #1 work from home recommendation. This is not an MLM-scheme like QNet. That training has helped me to earn a living online. I’m sure it will help you as well.
What Is Qnet Business All About?
Do you know what happened to me when I first time started researching for Qnet? I watched videos and listened to articles about them, actually more than 10 videos and articles.
And guess what?
Nobody explained on those videos about their actual products. Even though the company had produced videos with titles like, “This is QNet – Learn How It Works” and something similar. None of them explained their products. They just talked about success, recruiting and making money.
Other videos and articles discussed whether Qnet is a pyramid scheme and should you really join it. Most people claimed it’s a scam. Anyway, let me tell you what Qnet really is and whether it’s really a scam or not.
Qnet is a direct selling company that concentrates selling their products online.
The company was founded almost 2 decades ago back in 1998. It has also been operating under names GoldQuest and QuestNet. Nowadays it operates in more than 100 countries worldwide and there are more than 20 different brands in their store.
The following video explains their business opportunity in a nutshell. Notice that the video is promotional and it doesn’t provide an unbiased opinion of Qnet. Still it gives a good idea of their program.
The old saying says, “All that glitters is not gold.” That’s why it’s important to analyze the company more carefully before rushing into their system.
A Quick Look at Qnet Products
Qnet has a long list of different kind of products. Here are some of their main categories:
- Health & Wellness
- Personal Care & Beauty
- Watches & Jewellery
- Education
- Holidays
- Technology
QNet has typical MLM-products I’ll explain a few examples and mention some other network marketing companies that offer similar products. They offer:
- Water purifiers like with Power Life Pro.
- Essential oils like Melaleuca and Young Living.
- Nutrition supplements like Herbalife and 100’s of others.
- Beauty products like Thirty-One Gifts and Mary Kay.
You can mainly buy QNet products from their own eCommerce and you always need to have a referrer unless you are not a representative yourself. My strong guess is that most sales are made to other representatives who are part of the system.
At this point, everything looks quite okay. However, let’s dig deeper into the system to see the real nature of the company.
QNet (and other MLM-) representatives are always telling that the higher the prices, the bigger the profits. It gives me a feeling that they don’t care about the customer but only the thickness of their own wallet. That’s one of the biggest reasons I dislike these systems. It’s better to sell normally priced products than overpriced ones that are just trying to rip off other people.
How Does QNet Work?
Let’s think about the QNet opportunity step-by-step:
- Somebody introduces QNet to you.
- You go to their website, enroll as a representative and buy the first product.
- You commit to Commit to the monthly Repeat Purchase Programme.
- Start recommending QNet products and system to other people to earn your money back/increase your income.
- Meet their requirements to get paid in commissions and bonuses.
Based on many people’s experiences, all QNet representatives don’t even exactly know what they are promoting or selling. Some of their friends said the system is great and showed the income potential. They decided to join, learned the sales speech and now they are passing the information to others.
Actually, that’s how most MLM-systems work.
The only benefit compared to a normal job, in this case, is that you can potentially earn more. However, there are many cons:
- You don’t get paid anything unless you make sales.
- You need to pay their membership fee and products that you buy.
- You don’t have any security if the system doesn’t work out.
I am not a fan of 9 to 5 jobs but compared to QNet, I see many benefits. Usually, you get paid anyway if you just show up to work. If you are planning to join QNet or any other MLM-business, I highly recommend continuing at your current job until you are making money and the potential has become a reality.
That’s what I did when I started my online business. You don’t need to risk anything if you just start it as a “side thing”. If you fail, then you just continue your job and look for other opportunities. If you don’t fail, that’s great.
The thing that I like in QNet and MLM-opportunities is the enthusiasm they have within the company (well, they need to have something because 95% of them don’t get paid almost anything). In my experience and according to studies, most people who go to a 9 to 5 job aren’t satisfied.
That was one great motivator why I wanted to earn money online. I wanted to be surrounded by the people who are enthusiastic about what they do. In my previous workplace, people were part of this infamous, “Thank God, it’s Friday.” -club. It means that they are just waiting for the weekend and not happy with their work.
QNet Scam – Video Documentary
Qnet gained popularity also in Egypt. The documentary is created by young Egypt people and it describes very well, in my opinion, the QNet system. I don’t understand why it has gained also many dislikes on YouTube. Probably QNet representatives are frustrated when their sales go down because of this documentary.
At the beginning of the video, the host explains how 7 QNet distributors explained the opportunity for him in the exact same way. They have a step-by-step formula how they are trained to represent the system for prospects.
It’s a typical MLM sales speech that talks about the tediousness of a typical 9 to 5 job and explain that there’s a better option in life. I completely agree with that part. In my opinion, you should never go for a job that you don’t enjoy and grow. We only have one life so spending 40 hours in a job that isn’t rewarding is not worth it.
When the documentary creator asked more detailed questions and asked if he could record the answers, QNet distributors refused. They always passed the ball for a higher representative. Then he didn’t really answer the questions but tried just recruit the person to the system.
I noticed that lots of people were claiming in the comments that QNet can’t be a scam because it has been around for so long. Well, that doesn’t prove that they wouldn’t be using dishonest ways to make money.
QNet And “Magic Necklaces” – They Are Selling Trash!
QNet sells several different necklaces. You can see one of the most famous of them in the picture above which is called Chi Pendant.
Can you see its “Key Benefits”?
- Deeper sleep
- Increased energy levels
- Better physical performance
- Higher immunity
- Helps against jet lag
If you checked out the video above, they were also talking about this. This kind of necklace has nothing to do with those benefits. If I’m honest, it makes me mad that a company is selling this kind of crap and literally lying to people.
I believe in God and supernatural things but I don’t believe that a “magic necklace” would give you those benefits. It’s total BS. Of course, it can give some placebo effect when a person believes strongly enough. When he believes he’ll have a better physical performance, he also gives more of himself. He pushes harder because he believes in his strength.
If you believe that you are energetic, most likely you will be. One highly energetic 80-year-old man was once asked, “Aren’t you ever tired?” He replied, “Tired? I don’t even use that word in my vocabulary.” He had obviously learned to manage his mind and vocabulary to make him more energetic.
But the fact that company is famous for selling this kind of crap, makes QNet look very suspicious in my eyes.
Conclusion – Is QNet Worth It?
I don’t recommend this company. There’s so much controversy around this company and tons of people have negative experiences while doing business with them. In my eyes, it looks like a recruiting scam that focuses on building a bigger system and recruiting more people.
They have been especially targeted to young people. They don’t have so much experience or knowledge of pyramid schemes so sometimes they are easier to lure into this kind of systems.
My recommendation is that you stay away from QNet and stick with better and more honest ways to earn money. There are tons of wonderful opportunities on the Internet for earning a full-time income.
Wealthy Affiliate step-by-step training has taught thousands of people (including myself) on how to make a living online. It’s completely suitable for beginners as well who don’t have former experience.
I know some guys who went from $0 to $10,000/month in 2-3 years with the help of this training. I can confirm from my own experience that it really works. But remember that you must put in the work. There are no shortcuts to success! 😉

Based on what I have read here, I think the products promoted by Qnet are useful. However, the main problem with the MLM product is the pricing. They price their products so high that not everyone can afford. Because of the over priced products you can neither use for yourself or find anyone to buy from you. If you cannot sell, you cannot make money from MLM
Yes, Vinaya. Again we are talking about the same issue it comes to the Network Marketing company: pricing. They can sell their product for a higher price than so-called normal businesses.
The fact that their product focus is too diverse and they aren’t very upfront with it in their videos makes me think twice about a company like this, even more so than the average MLM company of modern day. I think they might just be doing it this way since they are older than most companies and the older ones usually had this method and system intact. I have been sold to by a few of these types of companies in the past so it does sound familiar. I personally am still a bit open minded about MLM companies but even I would just stay away from this one as there are many others that seem to be better choices.
Yeah, there are certainly better opportunities than QNet.

The bottom line is that an MLM thing needs something to sell. However, though, the money the company makes doesn’t have to come from the product. In that case, as we see here, they might not be so concerned about what they’re selling – because people are only buying the “product” to get in on the money making.
If there’s a bigger focus on the system/recruiting rather than on the product, I think it’s not a healthy thing for a business. Then their goal is just to pump up the system instead of improving the quality of their products. What is the value of the company then?
From my observations, Qnet have something shady that they don’t want the public to find out about their products, which is why they focus on compensation plans in the video they put out.
I think it would actually interest people to know more about a company’s products and services, as it would serve better in getting them to patronize on them.

A company makes money when it sells a product or a service. The problem with qnet is that the products are low quality and don’t sell. I think they offer certain luxury goods and holiday packages. Nobody buys them except people who are gullible enough to fall for their get rich scheme.
The fact that their products are low quality in your opinion makes the system even worse. I think QNet is too focused on recruiting new people and pumping up the system that way.
I definitely think that it’s probably the low quality of the company’s products that is actually making them shy away from massively advertising it’s products because it’s definitely going to ruin their cooperate image should majority of the new members that they are targeting out there would be discouraged from joining the scheme.
How come Qnet gets DSA membership in any country and Singapore in particular. if it is a quick rich scheme? Can you provide an answer?
I am not sure that this company is really well-known, because I’m here in Philippines-Asia, but I never heard of that company. What I heard and I joined also is USANA and Forever Living. QNET on the other hand maybe I may have heard the products of Mary Kaye and Herbal Life but the company itself Nope.
A lot of MLM which focuses on Health and Wellness has come to the Philippines and this is the first time I may have heard the name QNET. But because of this article, I have a chance of knowing it and I may take a look at it here.
Probably QNet is popular in some parts of the Philippines or among certain people.
I was last year in Indonesia and there was a popular MLM-program called Herbalife. Some of my close friends were also involved to that program. In my opinion, it wasn’t that bad there because almost nobody else was selling nutrition supplements there. The situation is different here in Europe because here are probably hundreds of different sellers of nutrition supplements.
Philippines is one of the leading countries that is taking MLM very serious lately. Not one single day goes by without my having one offer or another from a new company. Although, I’m not into any rush in backing up with any of the company yet. Maybe, I would have to bring some of them in here for you @Roope to have a look at them and give a green on whether to join or red light to pull out.
Yeah, you can certainly let me know about MLM-opportunities in the Philippines. I may write an article about the biggest ones because I’m always interested in these big MLM-companies.
However, I am not a big fan of them for several reasons. I just like to take a look and see how they work. Usually, they have pretty similar characteristics but always there are at least little differences.
Alright, I think that I would have to wait and get a new offer from another company, as I definitely believe that they will be dropping by sooner or later. Once the new offer to partner with them comes, I will be bringing it straight to your notice.
Too bad they are many negative reviews and feed back about this company, and with the era at which we are right now , any body that falls prey to this kind of program, should not be pitied, because with your phone at your palm you can get any information and review about any company at the speed of thought. Although some focus on building up a good reputation at the initial start before the dark side takes over.
You are right. Nowadays it’s so fast to find information on the Internet. Imagine time 20 years ago when there wasn’t the Internet. You just needed to rely on your friends’ and close people’s opinions.
The fact that some of the videos you watched just had the people talking about success and making money sounds dodgy and definitely a sign to stay away from the program. The fact that they did not want to focus on the products shows that there is something that they want to hide from you or not mention to you because they think you will be scared or figure out that it is just not worth investing in this program to earn money in the future.
Yeah, I was amazed. I tried to research what kind of company it is, what they are selling how does it work, etc. 10 first videos/articles just talked about the compensation or discussed whether it’s a pyramid scheme. It seems that they don’t put a big emphasis on products but on recruiting.
Well the advantage of it is that they sell many dfferent things. The downside is that you have to buy something first and it’s nothing sure, maybe you won’t be able to invite anyone and you could just lose some money this way.
Yeah, there is a risk of losing time and money in any business but with QNet the risk just isn’t worth it because the system itself is too shady.
Joining in a pyramiding scheme is risky here in the Philippines because there are so many persons who do collecting money with a promise to triple the income. After the agreed time to redeem, these persons are already difficult to locate.
The offices are already closed. Many investors saddened because the money that they invested are gone. So, for me, it may QNet or any company who does pyramiding, I do not settle to spare my money to invest.
Yeah, I am not a fan of MLM-programs either. Pyramid structure and overpriced products are two important reasons but usually there are other reasons as well.
I invest money to many companies but I don’t like investing money to MLM-companies even though they would be listed in the stock market.

One of my friend was convinced on that pyramid scheme and told me that initially they will tell a story just like rags to riches that will gets your attention and until you shell out money to them. Their system is composed with binary metrics wherein you need to recruit more people and buy their health products as well.
Nowadays people are looking for a stable relationship for their income that will suits their needs,not to drowned in debt. It’s a big NO! NO! for me I guess joining on this platform.
That’s a wise choice. QNet really resembles a pyramid scheme. It’s based on recruiting more and more people. In addition, most sales are made to other distributors so the money in the system moves from bottom to the top. Those 1-5% who are on top of the pyramid make the most money while others are struggling to earn anything.
I think they are scam too because they are very similar to other scam sites. Yes they are offering you a good one but in words not in deeds. They became popular only in their own partners reviews and thats all. They are such a joke and a headache for those people they victimized.
It’s hard to say that QNet would completely be a scam. It’s still widely spread throughout Asia and to other parts of the world as well. The company is huge. They must have done something right to maintain in the business for so long.

I really wouldn’t consider QNet is purely a scam company for the reason that they are still in business till date. Although I would have to agree that some of their dealings appears to be questionable, but it doesn’t prove that they are 100% scam. If not law suit would have drowned them by now.

My friend introduce me in this MLM business. They say that QNet is a good site. But based on my own thoughts, I think I can’t make a living in it. I asked them “what if I don’t get any recruits?” They keep saying the good sides of QNet. But I’m glad I didn’t join them.
Nowadays, it is hard to find a job especially online. There are so many scams all over the internet. You don’t whose legit and whose not.

How can someone seriously take a merchant that would sell you a “magic necklace”? I am actually not new to Qnet. I live in a country where people automatically avoid you should they learn that you are in to MLM or networking.
I could have at least considered buying their product if not for this whole “magic necklace” thing. It seems to me that the company is too focused on getting recruits that they don’t even care to produce quality products. Telling someone to buy your “magic necklace” is like indirectly telling him that he is stupid. It disgusts me to know how some companies can operate with such malarkey.

If someone researching about Qnet, just like you did, finds out about the negative reviews revolving around the company, I don’t think the zeal to join should be there. However, I understand that some people enjoy taking higher risk, but that is really not the way I want to put things now. I would rather look for a safe venture to join instead of joining Qnet.
I enjoy taking good risks in general but QNet isn’t a risk I would like to take. Their values seem to be different than mine because they are using those shady marketing strategies and overpriced products.

It’s absolutely obvious that before tasting success in any business dealings, one must embrace taking of risk as it is what would either prompt your profit making or loss as well, you are definitely going to learn from the loss.
