Today is time to take a closer look at Nu Skin business opportunity. You may have been approached by a friend who introduced you to this system. You may have already participated Nu Skin meeting and they wanted you to join.

Or you are just making a research online about this business and thinking whether it would be worth joining.

In this review, you will get a comprehensive information about their system from a person who IS NOT AFFILIATED with their system. I don’t promote Nu Skin products or their system. I just want to provide you good information that you can make a decision if it’s worthwhile to join their program.

Nu Skin Review – Summary

Product/Company Name: Nu Skin

Founded: In 1984 by Blake Roney, Sandie Tillotson, Nedra Roney, and Steve Lund

Type and Industry: MLM Company in Skincare and anti-aging

Short Review: Nu Skin is somewhat typical MLM. Yearly conventions, tons of success stories (even though a small percentage make big money with the system), lots of hype, overpriced products, and interesting compensation plan.

My personal recommendation is that you only join their MLM-program if are already using their products and you think it’s great. It’s completely possible to succeed but it requires lots of work and persistence.

If you are interested in earning money online (with or without Nu Skin), I recommend taking a look at this step-by-step training. That training has lead me to a life-changing online income and there is no looking back. Best of all, you can get started for completely free.

Is Nu Skin Recommended? Only for hard-working people who are already using their products.

How to Make Money with Nu Skin?

I created you a video where I show you a simple 4-step process that you can use for making money online with Nu Skin.

I use the same strategy for making my living online and I know numerous people personally who use it as well. I am 100% sure you will find the video helpful and valuable.

What Is Nu Skin?

NuSkin is an international multi-level marketing company that has been in operation since 1984. This company offers its customers an extensive range of anti-aging, personal care, and nutritional supplement products. Distributors earn money through selling Nu-Skin products and recruiting other affiliates to join.

We all know the lengths that some people will go to ensure that they don’t age. Anti-aging industry is growing at a rapid rate with more and more people becoming interested in products that will help keep their skin young and fresh.

If you enjoy learning and dealing with products that help people feel younger, then selling anti-aging skin products might be a fun industry to venture into.

Nuskin products seem to be a bit pricey with small night creams selling at $50 or more. On the other hand, it is evident that they are not out of place in the market. Many past users have nothing but praise for NuSkin products with recorded results showing improved skin results in users.

However, can one make a living out of this MLM Company?

We believe that Nu-skin products can survive on the open market even without the multi-level business model backing it. People can earn money through Nu Skin and direct selling of their products. However, this will take you years of determination.

If you want to earn big, you’ll need to have large teams that you have recruited over the years.

Some people have made money through Nu-Skin but do not be deceived or lured in by the big houses and cars that past distributors post to show their progress.

Also, keep in mind that this company has been sued by US States, the FTC, and even China due to deceptive claims about their products and how much a distributor can earn.

From past statistics, only 6% of people make approximately $4000 per year through Nuskin. A mere 4% earn about $5,000 per year and about 1% of people earn about $ 10,000 annually.

I can’t truly say how much work and effort these people put in, so there’s no way of knowing whether $5,000 per year will be worth it or not. Do keep in mind though that most people earn zero.

However, their products are actually quite good so if you are not in it for money, then perhaps you can just purchase their wholesale creams for your personal use.

Nu Skin Products – More Than 200 Different Ones

This company has an extensive range of products available to their customers as well as their distributors. Their products include:

Nu Skin: ageLOC LumiSpa, Powerups Fluid, ageLoc Me, ageLoc, Spa Systems, Face Care, Body Care, Treatments, Epoch Essential Oils, and Color Cosmetics.

Pharmanex: ageLoc, Nutritionals, Weight Management, Targeted Solutions, BioPhotonic Scanner, and age Loc Youth

Anti-Aging: You’ll find information regarding anti-aging and how certain nutrients help your body. You’ll also find anti-aging creams to help your skin stay young and fresh.

Nu Skin likes to sell their products in packages.

Nu Skin likes to sell their products in packages.

When I saw the pricing of their products my heart stopped beating for a second. Even though I have lived almost my whole life in expensive countries like Finland and Austria, I don’t usually see so expensive products. One of the biggest reasons I am not a big fan of MLM-programs is that their products have usually lots of air in their prices.

Despite their high prices, Nu Skin products have received many positive reviews. On the other hand, all clients aren’t happy with their products.

That’s why I recommend that you only join Nu Skin if you already enjoy using their products. First of all, it’s much easier to sell something you personally use. In addition, you’ll get a better feeling of how their products work. Nu Skin products look somewhat similar to MLM-programs like LifeVantage, Amway, and some others.

How Much Does It Cost to Join This Program?

Customers have the option of enrolling as distributors to buy products at wholesale price and then resell them to earn their commission. If you are looking to make money with Nu Skin, just log on to their website and fill out an independent distributor application and finally select the “introductory package.”

Here are some of their                     introductory packages.

NuSkin Compensation Plan

Distributors sell products and receive a 25% commission. You’ll also earn an additional 5% bonus from every customers and dealer you enroll. If you actively enroll new distributors, you’ll qualify to become a Sales Network Executive.

This position gives you access to additional bonuses and the ability to participate in Leadership Bonus Pool. Here is a simple breakdown of their compensation plan:

Note: The video is created by a Nu Skin distributor and it’s promoting their system.

  • Distributor and qualifying executive publisher: 5 customer’s sales each month and 200 product sales volumes
  • Executive dealer: 5 monthly customer’s sales and 2,000 group sales volume
  • Executive leader: 200 product sales volume for three consecutive months with 1,000 GSV in month one, 1,500 Group Sales Volume (GSV) during month two, and 2,000 Group Sales Volume in month three
  • Notice that you are required to make at least 5 customer product sales each month in order to earn commissions. It means that you must be actively prospecting new clients to keep on earning. The fact is that most people who join Nu Skin program earn close to nothing. They just join but find out later how challenging it is to get started.

My (and other people’s) experience in business shows that it usually grows like a snowball. It’s challenging to get started but if you get the ball rolling, it’s easier to grow.

Next, I would like to give you a little glimpse of what people are saying about Nu Skin all around the Internet.

    Nu Skin Reviews & Complaints

Many customers online seem to love Nu Skins anti-aging products. It has been said that their products help even up your skin and tighten it as well. Nu Skin has gone as far as to provide information regarding what each product is made with. They have also explained what each ingredient does and why it was used. All this information can be found on their extensively detailed website.

On the other hand, you can find hundreds of negative reviews of their products. They have some expensive toothpaste (~$20 per tube) and I noticed on Amazon that many people almost hated the product. It was supposed to whiten their teeth but actually, it didn’t do that. That’s why their products are a bit controversial. Some people love them while others almost hate.

The Better Business Bureau gave Nu-Skin full accreditation plus an A+ rating due to their great customer care, their products, and their low customer complaint rate. This company has been around for over 30 years, which is quite reassuring as it means they are in it for the long haul.

Is Nu Skin a Pyramid Scheme?

This famous video explains you in a nutshell how to spot a pyramid scheme:

Some people do earn money through Nu Skin but obviously, the big earners are always the individuals with large teams that they have grown and established over several years. The more people you have enrolled, the higher your payroll.

This means you’ll need to be patient, work hard and recruit lots of new members if you want to make a decent living over time. Be very careful with Nu Skin money back guarantee as their terms and conditions for refund are not clearly stated – some people have actually complained that they did not receive the return that they were expecting.

Nu Skin has also had several lawsuits in different countries during the years. Once it was fined $540,000 (~£327,500) in China because they were accused of selling products illegally and making product claims that it could not verify. In my opinion, it’s not a good sign that many people are claiming it a pyramid scheme.

Despite the problems they have faced with FTC and a few other claims, Nu Skin’s products have tons of pretty good reviews. Simply search their products on Amazon and see for yourself. If you use anti-aging creams and you have no issue spending money on them, then do try Nu Skin’s creams yourself.

Nu Skin is not a pyramid scheme because they have real products. However, in any MLM-system, there is always a high emphasis on recruiting new members.

Conclusion – Is Nu Skin Worth It?

Eventually, you need to make this decision yourself but I can share my personal opinion.

Personally, I am not a big fan of brands that put a huge price tag on their products. There is a feeling that high price just makes a huge profit their seller. As I talk with network marketers, they often say me, “Listen, man, it’s easier to make money by selling one $500 product than 50 products that cost only $10.”

They are definitely right that it may be easier to make money by selling a more expensive product. But as a businessman, I also want to provide the best price/quality ratio for my clients. That’s why I am not so excited about very expensive products.

If you are a business-minded person and you enjoy Nu Skin products yourself, it can make sense to join their program. On the other hand, if you are not ready to work hard and prospect, new people, forget Nu Skin. I have heard too many bad experiences from people who ruined their close relationships by pushing too hard the products and system for their friends and family.

In the end, I would like to provide you again an opportunity to learn how to make a living online. You can use these principles and strategies with Nu Skin or any other system. Actually, one elderly lady joined my opportunity a little while ago who is a Nu Skin distributor. She uses the training to promote Nu Skin products more effectively.

But I remind that you don’t need to be part of any MLM to make a living online like I do. As you know, I am not a huge fan of MLM-systems

    1. I’m not too sure about this so-called “anti-ageing” products really. And what’s worse for me is that these products are very expensive, with most of them being overpriced. That makes it very hard for us to sell their products and unfortunately, people will end up getting stuck with a lot of high costs without a revenue to support that. It’s no surprise to see the bad reviews as well, I wouldn’t be surprised if they bought some of the good reviews.

      1. Yeah, there are so many anti aging products going around at the moment. Maybe some of them work but definitely not always. It is sometimes hilarious when an old-looking woman or man is trying to sell his new anti-aging MLM-products even though she/he is looking very old herself/himself.

    2. Nu Skin just like other MLM companies require their products to be sold and getting referrals to join the affiliate to make more money. Although the good part of Nu Skin products is that people actually attest to how good it is which I believe is a positive thing because there are some MLM products that fails to do exactly what the distributors promised on behalf of the company.

        1. One might not need to join Nu Skin MLM programs but just get their products for personal use since it’s quite effective with lots of good reviews people have given about it.

But Roope, why are people so much interested in buying anti aging products? Is it that they don’t wish to get old but remain young forever?

            1. I see, anyways from my part of culture, we value old age and signs of it in our body. Take for instance, personally I have some grey hair mixed up with my black ones. Some of these anti aging products users might look for dye to use on their grey should they be in my shoes.

    3. This is always something that I’ve been wondering. How is it that such long-lasting companies still rely on individuals to keep the company going? I mean, they still require a huge amount of people to buy their packages and to sell them, then they let those same people hire even more people to do the same thing and keep the ball rolling.

How is it that they don’t have an infrastructure that handles all the trading and selling of products, like other manifacturers do?

    4. First of all I do not trust MLM Company. These companies do not help you to make money, all they incourage you to have your relatives and friends under you and sell dubious products. Secondly, I do not trust skincare and anti-aging products, These products are chemical products that ultimately harm your skin.
Therefore, I am not joining this nu skin program.

    5. Based on many different stories from friends and acquaintances, I’m not really a huge fan of MLM programs of any kind. I haven’t ever tried joining any single kind of MLM program despite friends who are smooth-talking me into joining them.

These people constantly rave about the “unlimited” earning potential and so I did some independent research on how these networking groups actually work. Sad to say, it’s about the recruiting, not really the sales of their products. Only then did I got more convinced that this kind of business isn’t for me.

    6. Your information about the cost to “join” is incorrect. It costs nothing to join and there is no yearly membership.

      1. You are absolutely correct. It cost nothing to join and you have no quota to make. You buy your products wholesale. There is so much nega8spoken here about expensive products. Where did you people come from. I used Meaningful Beauty b4 this product. It was priced the same a doesn’t work as well. The toothpaste you speak of is not just a toothpaste it is probably the best whitener toothpaste around. Even 3 dentist I spoke to said in their opinion it was the best whitener in a toothpaste on the market and priced well below leading whiteners that are complicated, use lights, trays and strips. Going past the product, no one has mentioned that this company gives 25 cents per product to missions. They pay for thousands of heart surgeries in China a yr. Thousands of pairs of glasses, shoes, food, agriculture training….the list goes on and on.

    7. I think the expensive nature of NuSkin products will make it not sell that good in Nigeria. I know that there are some few that can buy these products here, but it is quite hard to see their products have massive sales as a result of the nature of our economy in which only a few rich are living an affluent lifestyle.

The only way someone can market NuSkin skin products in Nigeria effectively is by reaching out to these few rich that can afford to buy them.

      1. Hi Henry,

You are right. It would be interesting to hear which are the most popular MLM-programs in Nigeria? Has some of your friends or family members been involved in some MLM-system?
