MySurvey homepage looks fine but a closer look at their user reviews revealed the fact that it's a scam.

Are you looking for an answer to a question, “Is MySurvey a Scam Or Legit?” Or are you just thinking how much you could earn on that website?

In my unbiased MySurvey review I will reveal the surprising truth about their website and service. I have researched around 80 similar survey sites but I have hardly ever seen something similar.

The good news is that I’ll show you a better way to earn money on this article.

So fasten your seatbelts. Let’s get started!

MySurvey Review

Name: MySurvey

Type: Online Surveys

Short Review: The first impression of My Survey shows that it would be a reliable website. They have a long experience in the industry and it’s a big company. However, almost all of their users are telling about negative experiences with them. I have read tens of My Survey reviews and all of them were negative (except one sponsored review).

If you value your time, stay away from MySurvey and use better ways to earn money. My #1 recommendation for making money online is Wealthy Affiliate. Their training has taught me and thousands of other people how to make a living from home on the Internet. I bet you would like it as well. As a little bonus, I offer 1-on-1 mentoring and support for all people who join WA through my website.

What Is MySurvey?

MySurvey is an old market research company that gathers information from consumers. Based on my research the company has started operating already before the Internet time in the 1940s in United States, United Kingdom, France, Canada, and even Malaysia. They started operating on the Internet in 1995 by Lightspeed Online Research Inc.

After hearing such a long history I thought that their company would be more reliable than it really is.

The company promises to pay you for each survey that you fill out. This sounds like easy money because you just need to answer questions from the comfort of your own sofa. who wouldn’t like to get paid for that?

Survey sites are able to pay you your answering surveys because companies need information from consumers to improve their products. They pay survey sites for gathering information and survey sites pay for you. In this way, big companies outsource the research of feedback.

Is My Survey Legit? – My YouTube Video

I decided also record a video where I explain why MySurvey is a scam. If you prefer video form instead of reading, you can have a look at the video. I explain more or less the same ideas that I explain further in this text.

In the end of the video, as a little bonus I explain my 4-step strategy that I use to make a living. I believe you will find it interesting because you can use it as well!

How to Make Money on My Survey?

It’s funny how MySurvey advertises their possibility to earn money. They say that you only need 5 things to start making money with their surveys:

  1. Yourself. (Quite obvious)
  2. A computer, (tablet or a smartphone) that can connect to the internet.
  3. A cup of coffee, tea or whatever that can relax you while you are answering their paid surveys.
  4. Register a free account on their website. (This is fast and easy.)
  5. “Start making money online!” Well, who wouldn’t like it?

You will earn points for each survey that you answer. When you have collected 1,200 points which equals to $10 you are able to cash out. They are supposed to pay you through PayPal or by gift cards to Amazon, iTunes, Walmart or almost wherever you want. I prefer taking rewards on this kind of sites by cash so I can choose afterward where to use it.

The idea of MySurvey sounds good and easy. However, the reality is completely different. I have explained in numerous articles why this kind of websites doesn’t pay enough. But a more important reason is that MySurvey isn’t a reliable partner. They are fooling their clients. Let me reveal you the truth behind the curtain.

They Claim to Be World’s No.1 Paid Survey Site but the reality is quite different.

My Survey Reviews 2017 – Nobody Recommends This Website!

There are hundreds of customer reviews from real people who have used MySurvey. Have a look what kind of rating users have given for their website.

  • 1,4 stars out of 5 based on 95 reviews on SiteJabber.
  • 1,4 stars out of 5 based on 474 user reviews on SurveyPolice.
  • Numerous reliable online entrepreneurs showed on their website that MySurvey is a scam website.

Almost everybody is giving the worst rating that they possibly can. I have read so many MySurvey Reviews but only one of them was recommending that website. However, that survey was sponsored by MySurvey so it wasn’t even a reliable review.

Now you are probably wondering why people are giving it so low score. Let’s have a closer look at complaints and reasons why people don’t recommend it. First, let me introduce you to a better opportunity (I use it myself to make a living online).

My Survey Complaints – Website Is Full of Scam Signs

In this section, I gathered screenshots and I will explain you the reasons why My Survey is a scam.

Scam Sign #1: My Survey Closes Accounts When Cashing Out

Imagine a situation that you have used hours of your valuable time to answer surveys and provide insights of different kind of products. Then you have finally reached the cashout limit and you are excited to get the reward for your hard work. BUT!

Then My Survey will send you a message, “Your account is now permanently closed because you violated our rules.”

You try to contact their support team but nobody answers. What to do? Well, in this situation you don’t have very much you could do. That’s why I recommend that you always do your homework before using time on making money online website. Now you are doing it well because you are reading my review and you spot the scam signs of My Survey.

Have a look at these reviews by real users:

Jatendra tried to redeem his rewards from MySurvey but he couldn’t because they closed the account. His hard work was totally in vain.

The same thing happened to Donjah. She has also a credit card linked to the situation isn’t very nice.

Charles concludes what everybody is saying. They will close your account and say that you have violated their policy as an excuse.

Let’s have a look at the second sign.

Scam Sign #2: My Survey Doesn’t Give You Points

Numerous members reported that even though they finished a survey they never got points for their account. They didn’t even get to the point where they would have been able to cash out the money because it was impossible to earn any points for surveys.

Nathan fully finished his surveys but never got points.

This sounds to start a bit suspicious. You don’t get points for surveys that you completed. Even though you would get points you are unable to cash out because they’ll close your account. And that’s not all!

Scam Sign #3: Surveys Are Much Longer Than They Promised

Before starting the survey they may say that it will last 10-15 minutes. Then you scratch your head after 20 minutes and ask yourself, “Will this never end?” This is not so bad thing as two other scams signs but it still tells that My Survey is an unreliable partner.

The interesting factor with My Survey reviews is that almost every user is reporting the problems. A few negative reviews would be understandable but if everyone is reporting about their negative experiences, it’s a clear sign that we should stay away from this website.

Actually, people have been reported about those problems since 2014. It’s hard to understand why they haven’t closed the website after getting hundreds of complaints and negative reviews.

My Survey Support

Based on tens of user experiences that I have heard my conclusion is:

The support doesn’t exist.

Conclusion – Is MySurvey Worth It?

The answer is obvious: MySurvey is not worth the hassle. You would risk losing your time, personal information and most likely wouldn’t even get paid. I don’t see any reason why anyone should join their website.

Sorry for being a bit harsh with them but I just want to save your time and money.

I’m glad that I can show you a better way to earn money online. Actually, I know numerous ways how you can make a living on the Internet but this one is the best for beginners but the earning potential is still great. Some of my friends make +$10,000 per month using this strategy.

I have still to work for that kind of income but my goal is to reach $10,000/month mark during the next year in 2018. The strategy I am talking about affiliate marketing.

Don’t worry if you haven’t even heard the term before. I hadn’t heard about it either a few years ago.

When I tell people how I make a living sometimes I need to explain it twice because affiliate marketing is still a relatively new industry even though it has been around already around 20 years and it’s rapidly growing.

In this article, I am not going to go into the details of how it works because I have explained in numerous other posts. I recommend that you take a look at this step-by-step training which will explain everything you need to get started. It’s called Wealthy Affiliate community and it’s completely free to join.

  1. There are so many websites that are out now a days. It is very easy to trick someone in believing in something when it involves money. That is the angle of the scam, money.

Money is the root of all evil they say. Everyone wants and need money… so with knowing that it is very easy to trick or scam someone. I have heard of mysurvey before and I make sure that I do the research before I invest my time into something. I had to learn the hard way getting scammed left to right because I was in desperate need of money.

That is what scammers rely on the fact that you wanna make some quick fast money. If it was that easy everyone would have money. But everything that glitters isn’t gold… and what looks good for you may not be real. Do the research before you jump in and invest your time and money.

    1. Yes, some people say that money is a root of all evil but the Bible says that the Love of Money is a root of all evil. There’s a huge difference. You can be poor but love money or you can be rich but be generous. The people who create scam businesses obviously seem to love money more than they love honesty.

Making big money requires work and persistence. However, I would like to share you a story of Jim Rohn.

When Jim was 25 he was broke and he met his new mentor Earl Shoaff who was a millionaire. Earl started teaching and mentoring Jim and after 6 years Jim became a millionaire.

After that experience Jim Rohn said, “It was very easy to become a millionaire. Then you may be asking, Why don’t all people become millionaires? The reason is that it’s also easy not to become a millionaire. Many things are easy to do but on the other hand they are also easy not to do.”

I think that becoming a millionaire, for example, isn’t so hard at all. You just need to develop good habits and soon those habits will be natural for you. Then becoming a millionaire will feel like a breeze. That’s what I believe.

  2. If I decide joining Wealthy Affiliate today, what am I expected to do in order to earn enough income on a daily basis?

I understand that traffic is very much needed before anyone can earn from affiliate programs, but just want to know how to go about driving traffic without spending a dime. I have spent so much money already searching for legitimate ways to make money online, but all to no avail. It seems making money online is granted to particular people only. I spent up to $500 buying data entry, affiliate program and referral packages, but didn’t earn a cent.

Personally, I was frustrated by those scams and thought no one could make money online. I hope to have my way now on this platform as I’m fully determined to work and earn online. I just want to be shown the right thing to do. Once I know the right step to take, I am ready to follow suit. I want to focus all attentions on Wealthy Affiliate and Forum Posting.

    1. Hi Potential Writer,

thank you very much for your question. Earning money online may seem challenging at first but once you keep learning and doing it you’ll master it. Then it will feel like very easy when you have learned the process. It’s the same like any other skill: walking, riding a bike, speaking, etc. Once those skills were challenging for you as a child but with practice and repetition you mastered them.

You can drive traffic for completely free from Google (and other search engines), from social media and from other channels as well. 99% of my traffic is totally free. Around 80% of my traffic comes from Google.

Wealthy Affiliate training will walk you through step-by-step how you can drive tons of traffic from Google to your website. If you have any questions during the training, you can always contact me personally or any other experienced member in Wealthy Affiliate community.

Remember that you don’t need to spend a single dime on traffic and still make a huge income online. I always recommend for beginners to start out with free traffic and when they have mastered that skill only then move to paid traffic.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

See you inside Wealthy Affiliate! 🙂

  3. Freezing accounts is some shady stuff. The problem with survey sites is that the income is not stable. People should stay away from these.

    1. There are some sites out there that seem reliable enough for pocket change, but taking surveys doesn’t seem like it will ever be you real money. And sites like this just makes everyone else look bad. I can’t believe this company survives with these practices

  4. I’ve answered this question before. It’s not that Survey companies are scams, yes everything has it down falls. It’s the people that promote the survey companies that are scamming you, by telling you, You can earn all this money doing surveys.

My advice is before joining any company do your own research. Go on Google or You Tube and see what people are saying about the company. I will say it again find out about the referral programs to these companies. That’s how you make the real money. Surveys is just a way to make some extra money to get over the hump a bill or two. Survey’s will not make you rich.

    1. Hi Carlito,

you are right that there are many legitimate online survey sites. However, MySurvey is not one of them. They are just fooling people with their offers.

You seem to be a smart guy so I honestly recommend that you wouldn’t waste your time on survey websites. You can earn 50-100 times more by doing much more interesting things online.

Did you already check out Wealthy Affiliate? It beats all survey sites like 100-0 😉

  5. Thanks for the warning. That site has lots of red flags or “scam signs.” Too many, in fact. I certainly won’t be wasting my time (or giving out my credit card info) to that one.

I guess they don’t close down because they are still making money. If they don’t pay people, they get to keep all the money their clients pay them. I wish someone could contact their clients. That’s where the complaints need to go, since “support” doesn’t seem to be listening.

Thanks for saving us valuable time, not to mention a lot of frustration.

    1. Hi Zyni,

yes, probably they’ll still keep on going for a while. I am just wondering can’t officials do anything with scam websites like this one?

Anyway, better just to stay away from their “opportunity” .

  6. It’s funny how all online survey sites claim to be the number one when almost all of them are garbage. I’ve always known that online survey sites are good for nothing but hearing that this MySurvey is a scam really takes the cake.

    1. Hi John,

you really made me smile and laugh with your wonderful comment! 🙂

It’s really funny how all survey sites claim to be best even though all of them are usually garbage. That’s so true!

    2. I feel it too bro! I hate it when i just register on a site that i thought i can earn money by taking surveys but heck! It’s not even true!

  7. Great writeup!

I saw a post about the site on a forum somewhere and it seemed a little too positive, which is always a sign that it could be completely faked and done either by the owner of the site or a wannabe-affiliate. Glad to know for sure that this is just another fishy site that isn’t worth the time.

Its one thing not paying and employing all these unethical practices, but when its with surveys, there is that additional layer of risk: your personal information. These sites obviously ask a lot about who you are, what you do, where you live, e.t.c. And its bad enough that they don’t compensate you fairly for giving this information, but when they go ahead and sell that information to other companies, which I suspect they do, then its even worse.

    1. Hi Spectrum,

that’s a good point! For me it’s fine if companies know my name, address, place of birth and other basic information but if I need to give them, for example, a credit card information then I make a research if it’s reliable or not.

I’ve seen so many fake reviews on the Internet while being on this make money online industry. It’s amazing how some people are ready to lie just to earn some money. However, they ruin their own reputation immediately by doing that.

  8. I’m surprised to see how old the company is. That probably is one of the oldest ones I’ve seen on the internet. I think what they are doing really is the cardinal sin of these types of sites though, which is to freeze accounts of people once they try to cash out.

Not only does that ruin their reputation but also it will stop people from recommending the program to others which is what most sites like this rely on to get popular.

Thanks again for the review, at least I know to stay far away from this one.

    1. Hi Fantasia,

yeah, good to stay away from MySurvey.

I guess that they have done better work before because they have remained so long in the business. A company that is doing bad stuff, doesn’t usually remain in the game for a long time.

  9. This is definitely not the first site that I have heard of that closes peoples accounts for no reason when they are nearing their cashout amount.

Quite a lot of sites do this and it’s absolutely disgusting, to be honest with you. It’s unbelievable that there are people that still do this but I’m glad that you have written this review so hopefully, people will see it and stay away from it.

    1. Yeah, I can’t understand why these sites are doing it. Do they just love money so much that they fool people or do they have problems with their system? Anyway, it’s just better to stay away from MySurvey and other scammy websites.

  10. It is really sad that most of these survey sites that have been in business for quite a number of years still play their members for a fool and that is not right. You see that if someone is looking for a survey site where they can earn for answering surveys, they would probably end up on MySurvey with the hope that their years of experience makes them a better site and at the end, they would be scammed.

The most painful part is to discover that one’s account has been closed at the point of cashing out their hard earned money. I mean these sites don’t have human empathy at all. Thank you for revealing their loopholes and I’m hoping many get to read this.

    1. Hi Henry,

yeah, it’s surprised that their website hasn’t been closed because there has been tons of complaints all around the Internet for many years. Still some people are falling for their opportunity if they haven’t read those reviews.

Feel free to share the article in your social media if you think people could benefit from this information 🙂

      1. I will definitely share most of your reviews on my social media handlers in order to invite my friends to read them. I’m of the opinion that they will really benefit by reading most of your informative reviews on a daily basis.

  11. What a superb review very! Informative and the details is laid very clearly. Also it is an eye opener to the people so that they can avoid a fraud site like that.

  12. I wish I had read your post before I got involved with MySurvey. I tried it and didn’t get anywhere with it. After answering a pile of questions to see if I qualified for a survey, ( a lot of the time the pre-survey was so detailed I was sure it was the real thing–I mean these things took up to ten or more minutes to complete!) only to find out that I did not fit the profile or that their were already too many with my profile.

The few surveys I did get to complete, the exact thing you describe happened to me. I did not receive any points! I am now still being inundated with emails from this company–do they never give up?

I think part of the problem there is that in order to get into another opportunity I had to sign up with three other “partner ” sites. Are these companies all run under the same umbrella or are they just in collusion? I would be interested in finding out and you seem like the man for the job. Thank you

    1. Hi Jazznut,

sorry to hear that you felt for MySurvey. Yeah, they really have those long lists of questions in the beginning that are supposed just to fill out your profile. It’s very time-consuming.

I highly recommend that don’t ever use your time on online surveys. As one of my readers said, “Online surveys are just a joke for those who want to earn real money online.”

Did you already try Wealthy Affiliate? You can earn there way more than any survey site could ever pay you 😉

    2. It happened also to me just like what jazznut commented. I spent too much time in answering surveys only to find out i am not qualified at the end. I tried again with different information and expecting i will qualify but not still.

I would say that this is just a survey that fools users who are new in the internet. This kind of stuffs should be stop in the internet appearance. There are also surveys that needs to download their applications or buy their products to get the points which is obviously fake.

      1. Hi Jemuel,

you are right that newbies most likely fall on scams like MySurvey.

I have heard from so many online entrepreneurs that in the beginning they tried several online survey sites. Then they found out that the earning potential was extremely small and they stopped doing them. Gladly they found better opportunities and are nowadays able to make a living on the Internet.

        1. They learned something from being scammed once and that is the best lesson for them and now they are making a living over the internet wow for them good job. Better that your friends tried a legit paying survey site not like my experience that the survey site i tried was totally fake and would not even bring back my wasted time.

          1. Yes, but none of them is making a living from online surveys. I was recently in a DNX-conference in Lisbon where I got to know many new friends who make a living online using many different methods.

Then I know many people in Wealthy Affiliate who learned to make a living using their training. When are you going to use it? 🙂 If you are willing to learn and work hard, it can literally change your life. The premium membership is less than $1 per day ($359/year) and it’s definitely worth every penny because it pays itself back so many times.

At the moment the free membership is not available in the Philippines. I asked about this from the owner of Wealthy Affiliate and he said, “We don’t allow Starter memberships in certain countries for many reasons. We have determined that because of high rates of fraud and gaming that we do not allow Starter accounts from these countries (Philippines being one of these).”
