In every job posting, especially if it’s for an online job, there’s always zero guarantees for an employer to meet a good prospective employee. Never. It will take a lot of time unless if you’re lucky enough to hire someone that passed your standards soon.

Although ZipRecruiter is an accredited business and has earned an outstanding A+ rating, it garnered 1 out of 5 customer rating instead.

The reason was there’s an apparent more than 60 complaints from both employers and job seekers recorded and shared their horrible experience with the company.

ZipRecruiter disclosed that they guarantee the trust given to them. However, there has been a lot of complaints about deception occurring in the platform to the point one has to freeze all her bank accounts in case of fraudulent charges and reported the incident to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Another incident happened wherein she thought she’ll enjoy 4-day trial only to find out she’s only given access to 10 resumes.

Like the former employer who expressed his sentiments on Quora, she has to pay an extra charge to get access to more resumes, which isn’t disclosed in their trial page.

Once you registered on the website, it’s close to impossible to delete your account. According to Melissa, ZipRecruiter makes a lot of excuses to discourage the users to delete their accounts.

"They create multiple, ridiculous hurdles and bury the directions for users. Passwords are legitimate suddenly do not work when trying to delete an account," she wrote.

Another employer got ripped off worth more than $300 because of ZipRecruiter. She wanted to cancel her subscription but as others mentioned it’s impossible to delete the account.

Hence, she got charged with the recurring fee although she already requested the cancellation beforehand.

This is in a job seeker’s perspective though. Having online job consolidators like ZipRecruiter is essential to find jobs easier than a typical in-person job application. However, this isn’t a good option if you’re an employer nor a partner due to the ongoing deceptive billing methods.

Albeit the great mission behind ZipRecruiter existence as an American online jobs platform, the ongoing serious concerns from the employers and job seekers make it a bad company to deal with.

First of all, job seekers may have the advantage to search for jobs easier because it’s been categorized into different job types.

However, you may not know when you’re going to be charged. Especially in the eyes of the employers, who’ll be asked with hundreds of dollars for the sake of job slots every month. 

Second, it doesn’t guarantee you to land either a good employee or a good employer. Based on experience over the years as an online writer, searching for jobs using these consolidators won’t give you an assurance you will have a great job searching experience.

There are times when the offer sounds good and decent, however, once you get hired and start the first day, you’ll find it regretting. 

The same thing in every employer’s perspective wherein you might wish the new hire will make you a good return after a huge investment you did. It turns out it wasn’t as that employee is a sloppy worker.
