I will also providing you my 1-on-1 support to make sure you succeed. I have helped +3,000 individuals to start making money online and I will be happy to help you as well.
On YourOnlineRevenue.com we are always looking for new apps and opportunities to earn money online. One of our readers said recently that he had noticed a mobile app called Snapwire where you could earn good money by taking pictures.
I decided to download the app, take a closer look at it and analyze how much you could really earn by using the app. I have also read experiences from tens of other people who have used the app and tried to make money with it. Some of them are photographers on a professional level.
My goal is to answer all your questions in Snapwire review regarding their app and earning potential. If you have any questions or comments, you can always feel free to give them below this article and I will answer all of you personally.
(In this review I am using screenshots from their desktop version because some users said it’s easier to use than an app. I find it also more comfortable using the laptop than a smartphone in the long run.)
Type: Make Money Online by Selling Photos. (Mobile App + Desktop)
Short Review: Snapwire is a cool mobile app with a high-quality design and functionality. They have many big clients who are buying pictures from their service.
Making money as a photographer with this app requires most likely lots of and a high-quality equipment. You must have professional-quality picture in order to make sales. The payout is quite good because usually clients pay $50 for the winner of the image contest. However, you need to submit tons of pictures before making many sales.
If you are a professional photographer and don’t mind spending lots of time on their app and website, you can give it a try. For those who are looking for better opportunities (even without photography skills) I recommend taking a look at My #1 Recommendation for making money online.
Snapwire is a mobile app and a platform that connects clients who need pictures with photographers. It has already been around for a few years and grown to become one of the biggest apps that pay money for selling your pictures. It has more than 100,000 downloads on Google Play and 1,433 user reviews with an average rating of 3,9 stars out of 5.
Based on the information on their homepage it’s used by the following brands/companies:
All in all, we can confidently say that Snapwire is a big player in the market.
However, the other question is whether it’s a profitable app for earning money as a photographer. Let me show how the process works.
There are basically two ways to earn money through Snapwire.
The most common way to earn money on Snapwire is through contests. The process goes like this:
Now let’s have a look what kind of challenges they have.
In a challenge, the client gives a description of what kind of pictures he is looking for. Here’s an example from the contest called “Street Food”:
As you can see above, the client gives written instructions and also provides a few inspirational images. They also give the prize for the winner. In this case it’s $75. The reward for the winner depends between different contests but in my experience it seems to be around $50 on average.
Then photographers start submitting their pictures. At the moment there are 256 photos submitted for Street Food challenge by 92 participants. 32 of those pictures are nominated and they fit the exact critetria the client is looking for. The client follows the image flow and gives points for pictures. You can see what kind of pictures are leading the contest and your task is naturally to outrank them.
As you can see, the pictures aren’t complicated in this contest and you could participate this challenge quite easily. But do notice that all pictures have a high quality. (The original images are sharper than in this screenshot.) You would have hard time to win the contest if you are only using your smartphone camera.
Many contests are also very specific. So, you need to go to a certain place or travel in order to participate the contest. This requires time and effort to move around and take your equipment with you.
The contest prizes are nice: $25, $50, $75 or even $125 if your picture is selected. However, you won’t get the whole prize for yourself because Snapwire takes a little fee. The following picture from their website explains the fees.
In contests, you’ll get 70% of the price and if you are selling directly from your portfolio, you can keep 50%. So, if you win a $100 contest, you’ll receive $70. In my opinion, these fees are quite big if we compare to other marketplaces. What do you think?
One experienced user mentioned that when your ranking goes up (by getting more sales and points from clients) you may have an opportunity to receive direct requests from clients. This will probably be more interesting than attending contests where your chances of winning are small.
The earning potential of Snapwire isn’t huge. Imagine that hundreds of photographers participate the contest and you are supposed to have the best picture. It’s not that easy, huh?
One photographer called Jennifer McCallum had submitted 1,079 images and her earnings were $665. It means that she earned ~$1,62 per image. She needs to travel to the right place, arrange the appropriate setting, have the right light and choose the best one. Then she submits the picture to her computer. After that she can but it to Snapwire.
Let’s estimate that the process has taken at least 15 minutes per image. Then she would have spent around 270 hours for the whole process which makes her hourly earnings ~$2,5. That’s way below the minimum wage. Of course, this is just an estimation but it gives us a good picture how challenging it can be to make money using this app.
We also need to take into account that Jennifer has years of experience of photographing and her pictures are have a very high-quality. You can judge yourself:
Here are two examples of Snapwire reviews on Google Play.
Mike Evans likes the app because it gives him an opportunity to grow as a photographer. However, LaMarcus Smith doesn’t like the app because the earning potential is extremely small.
Based on the reviews I have read, people who want to make money are not satisfied with this app because the earning potential is really small.
Those who are just using it as a hobby to improve themselves as a photographer like it. But remember that hobbies usually don’t pay you money but you need to pay to have hobbies. That’s a great difference between a business and a hobby.
Several users also reported about the errors they had while using Snapwire app. I didn’t experience any problems while using the app. Hopefully they have fixed the errors. Another option is that the errors would occur if I would use the app even more.
One person reported that it takes ages to upload pictures (10 minutes each). I would like to hear how has the app worked for you.
If I would have a company that needs very high-quality pictures for an extremely specific need, I could consider using Snapwire. It’s an easy way to get lots of great images with low effort. Of course, it costs money so I would first evaluate whether it’s worth investing or not. At the moment I don’t have that need.
For money-making purpose Snapwire isn’t the best opportunity out there. Yes, you can earn some money every now and then but if you are not a world-class photographer, your earnings will most likely be below the minimum wage. If you would create a photographing business, you could possibly earn $50 per hour instead of $50 prize from the contest that is extremely hard to win.
Still, if you want to get new ideas and skills as a photographer, you can certainly download their app and try a few contests.
I decided already some years ago that I stop running behind low-paying opportunities. That’s why I have concentrated on Wealthy Affiliate training because the earning potential is much greater. What are your favorite methods for earning money online?
Before you dive into my article, I want to give you an opportunity to take a look at my updated Photography Jobs Online video review.
In the video, I reveal you the truth behind Photography Jobs Online and the reasons why I don't recommend it.
In the end of the video, I walk you step-by-step my #1 recommended way to make money online so I advise that you watch until the end (Pro Tip: You can use 1,5X speed to watch it faster!)
If you need any help to start making money online as a photographer, don't hesitate to ask me in the comments.
I've helped +3,000 to start making money online and I would be more than happy to help YOU as well.
“$5,000,000 have been paid for our happy members just for uploading their pictures. Now it’s your turn to take action!” That’s who Photo Jobs Online starts their marketing speech. They continue by explaining the process in a nutshell and showing huge dollars amount you could be earning.
They show testimonials from guys who are making $13,000/month just by selling their photos online. Then their calculator shows you maximum earnings of $800,000/week. Is Photography Jobs Online? You will get a detailed answer in the next 1-3 minutes.
I am not affiliated with Photography Jobs Online many other reviews that I found on the Internet. They are just promoting the system to make money when you sign up. I don’t earn money whether you join or not. This review is written for the sole purpose to give you the most engaging and accurate information about this opportunity.
Name: Photography Jobs Online (PJO)
Type: Make Money Online by Uploading Your Pictures
Short Review: Photography Jobs Online is basically just a website gathered full of affiliate links and B-class information. You can find more valuable information on YouTube. In addition, their website is so shady that I don’t even recommend trying their trial.
If you are interested in earning money online, I rather recommend this website. Their training, support, and tools have helped me to earn good money online and I’m sure they’ll help you as well.
Photography Jobs Online is a website that promises big earnings for you by taking pictures and uploading them on the Internet. I don’t know if you are already familiar with the concept but there are probably hundreds of photo banks that will pay you for uploading and selling your pictures. PJO has the following picture on their site that shows some of the photo banks.
Photography Jobs Online is supposed to be a middleman between you and those HIGH PAYING companies. They also promise that you could make thousands of dollars per month. Is it really so simple and easy? Let’s have a closer look at the process they offer. I recommend that you don’t give them any money before you have read this article until the end. Then you are totally informed what will happen on their site.
Here are some big promises that PJO gives:
Is that true? Let me show you how their system works.
The process is simple:
The process itself is very simple and easy-to-understand. You just take a picture and submit it online to some photo bank. You wait until enough photos get purchased to reach your minimum cashout limit. Then you can take money to your account.
What’s the catch here? Is it really so easy? No, it’s not.
One of my best friends is an amateur photographer and he has been doing it for around 10 years. Recently he got an idea that he would like to earn passive income. He figured out that one potential way to achieve it would be selling stock photos online.
He started uploading pictures to Fotolia, Shutterstock, etc. Now 4 months have passed and guess how much he has earned? Around $5-10. Easy money? Not really! 😉 My friend is still constantly uploading new pictures and it seems that his earnings are steadily growing even though they have been very small.
This example illustrates that making a living by uploading pictures to photo banks really isn’t so easy like these marketers want to make you think.
Their website is basically a full of (affiliate) links to other websites that help you to earn money online. You saw the screenshot taken of their partners? iStock, Shutterstock, Fotolia, Dreamstime, Photos.com, Shutterprint etc.
You can have an access to all those websites even without having PJO as a middleman between you and them. If you use Photography Jobs Online you are just basically paying for their membership in vain and also sponsoring their founders by using their affiliate links. What is the benefit for you? None.
They have also some “training” on their website but in my opinion, you don’t need it because you can get more high-quality training on YouTube or from some professionals for completely free. PJO has also downloaded their training from other sites so they don’t really have a personalized step-by-step training to make money online like Wealthy Affiliate has.
There are also other reasons why I don’t recommend signing up to Photography Jobs Online.
It seems that the same person or team has created many similar websites. I have reviewed some of them already in the past.
All of these websites use exactly the same design and concept. They are full of links to other websites that really pay you for doing the job. The concept is interesting but it doesn’t really provide good value for you.
The thing that I especially don’t like is that they are lying about the earning potential. Well, of course, you can make $5,000 for freelance writing online but it requires years of experience. With affiliate marketing, the process can be quicker and you can reach $5,000 per month income faster but it still requires work and persistence.
One interesting characteristic on these “XXX Jobs Online” websites is that when you try to leave the site, usually the pop-up window appears, “Are you sure that you want to leave the site now?” The window doesn’t always appear but at least if you are on specific pages on their site.
Yes, they promise you a 60-day money back guarantee if you don’t like their website. But they promise you also many other things. How could I trust on their money back guarantee if I can’t trust them on other things that they are saying?
Photography Jobs Online is backed up by Clickbank which helps a little bit. However, I know people who have bought Clickbank products with a money back guarantee but never received any money back. When they contacted the customer support, nobody answered.
All in all, you are taking a risk if you give your credit card information for PJO and pay them money.
Photography Jobs Online is a borderline scam. They give exaggerated promises but provide only very little value.
Don’t be fooled by fake reviews on the Internet. I noticed that people were promoting PJO because they offer commissions for people who bring new customers to their website. So, affiliates have a financial incentive to sell their membership for you.
Instead of promoting PJO and earning money by doing that I prefer telling the truth and showing what it really is. In my opinion, it’s not worth it.
If you are looking for a great way to earn money online I can honestly recommend Wealthy Affiliate. Their website won’t make you rich overnight either but it really works. You can earn extra $500, $2,000 or even $10,000 per month through their website but it requires work.
Their training has taught me how to earn money online and now I am ready to help you as well. I offer my 1-on-1 support and mentoring as a bonus for anyone who joins Wealthy Affiliate through my website. Get started for free.

Have you earned money online with photographing?

If you are looking for answers to questions like, “How to Make Money with Shutterstock?” “Can you make money on Shutterstock?” you have come to the right place.
In this article, I am going to talk you about making money with Shutterstock and earning money online in general. Without further ado, let’s get going!
Type: Photo Bank
Short Review: It’s possible to make some money with Shutterstock but most photographers earn close to nothing. Unless you are a professional photographer with years of experience, you won’t get rich with Shutterstock. Many markets on Shutterstock are already very saturated because there are thousands of high-quality pictures.
If you are looking for a better way to earn money online, I recommend taking a look at my #1 recommendation.
Shutterstock is one of the biggest photo banks in the world. Photographers can upload their pictures to Shutterstock while companies and individuals who need them, can buy the pictures.
Many photographers are looking for an opportunity to make money by uploading pictures to their photo bank. In this article, I am going to explain you 2 benefits of doing that but also 3 challenges. In the end, I’ll explain alternative strategy how you can make money online as a photographer.
Making money with Shutterstock has certainly some benefits. Let me list them for you.
I know that thousands of people who want to make money with Shutterstock (and other photo banks) are passionate about photographing. Well, now you have an opportunity to get paid for doing that.
Who wouldn’t like getting paid for what you love, right? At least I personally believe that we find the best results in life when we are doing things that we enjoy doing.
Passive income is the money that you will earn even while you are not working. In my opinion, that’s the best form of income. Once you have done the work the money keeps on coming to your account even while you are laying on the beach. That’s why I like building various passive income streams.
With Shutterstock, you have an opportunity to earn passive income. Once you have uploaded the pictures to the photo bank and done the work you can make money even while sleeping.
There are many benefits of making money with Shutterstock but now I also want to discuss a few challenges.
“Just take your camera, grab a few pictures, upload them to Shutterstock and become rich.” That story doesn’t really work anymore (to be honest, I’m not sure whether it has worked even before).
Shutterstock has founded already 15 years ago back in 2003. Now it’s an enormous photo bank with millions of high-quality pictures. In the other words, there are millions of pictures competing with you in the marketplace.
Tough competition means two things:
When you make money with Shutterstock, you are highly dependent on their rules and policies. Let’s say that you spend a few years for building your Shutterstock portfolio and income stream. Then Shutterstock suddenly changes their rules in a way it affects your rankings and sales. It can take down a whole business.
Of course, you can diversify your risk by concentrating on several photo banks at the same time. Anyway, this is still an issue that you need to take into account. If you make money with Shutterstock, you are dependent on their rules.
If Shutterstock changes their rules significantly, you may lose your source of income.
Usually, creating passive income streams takes time. That’s also the case with Shutterstock. You won’t be making $1,000’s during the first weeks, months or perhaps even years unless you are exceptionally good.
My friend used Shutterstock for half a year and made $20. If I watch his pictures, they are professional quality. He has done photographing for over 10 years.
On the other hand, we can always say that he would have made much more money if he would have put more effort or if he would have better equipment.
Anyway, the bottom line is that making money with Shutterstock doesn’t usually happen easily.
Let’s say that you start uploading pictures to Shutterstock. You make your best and use hundreds of hours to create high-quality pictures. You check your earnings on Shutterstock regularly and nothing moves. $0,00 shows up in the balance. Maybe a $1,00 sale here and there.
A year passes and you have earned close to nothing. What if you would have spent those hundreds of creative hours doing something more profitable?
The challenge with Shutterstock is that the market in many areas is so saturated and the competition is tough. That’s why many people fail to earn any money and they end up wasting endless hours while uploading their videos.
Somebody may argue that there are no guarantees to succeed in any business. However, I believe that success leaves clues. The old wisdom says, “If you do what other successful people do, you will eventually get the same results that they do.
I have seen over and over again that the people who follow the Wealthy Affiliate training, succeed to make money online. The principles and steps they teach have also worked in my own life. Therefore, in my opinion, it’s more guaranteed way to make money online than uploading pictures to Shutterstock.
Yes and no. If you enjoy photographing and uploading pictures to the Internet, there’s nothing wrong with it. However, if you wish to make big money, I think you should start doing something else.
There are several ways to make money online but my #1 recommendation, especially for beginners, is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s a step-by-step training and a community that will help you hand in hand for making a living on the Internet. I can confidently say that the Wealthy Affiliate training and community has changed my own life.
Let me explain a simple 3 step process how you could be making money online as a photographer.
If photographing is your passion, I have a good idea how you can make money online. Let me explain you the 4-step formula that I would suggest. And by the way, I have seen numerous websites that make money by following exactly this formula.
You don’t need any programming or technical experience to do that. I thought before that creating websites is only for super-humans until I realized that there are simple tools that anyone can use to build a basic website easily.
So, the subject of your website would be related to photographing. Let me give you just an example. Let’s say that on the website you give other people recommendations and tips on photographing. That’s just an idea and you can, of course, choose any other subject as well.
Content can be anything from articles to videos, pictures and whatever you want to create. One idea is to create articles like, “Best 7 cameras for under $500.” “5 Tips for Grabbing a Perfect Landscape Picture.” “Watch How You can Take a Beautiful Pictures of Nature.” “3 Tips for Beginner Photographers.”
Then you recommend some great photographing related products while you are giving information to your audience. Remember that you don’t need to be the best in the world. If you are reading this article, I bet that you know more about photographing than I do. Therefore, people like me would find your content very helpful.
When you give product recommendations, you can link them to e-commerce stores like Amazon and other ones. When people click your link and buy something on Amazon, you earn a commission.
If they click your link and buy the camera, you earn a commission. But even though they would buy something completely different, you will still earn commissions. Even though somebody would buy men’s boxers, laptops or literally anything through your links, you make money. That’s the beauty of affiliate marketing.
With affiliate marketing you will also earn passive income which means that you earn money even while you are not actively working. You can sleep, lay on the beach, take pictures with your friends, exercise at the gym and you may be earning passive income at the same time. Of course, it requires that you have done the work beforehand.
But sometimes with affiliate marketing, you earn money still even 10 years after you’ve done the work.
This was just a short example how you will make money online. I can recommend you a step-by-step training that will walk you through all the details that you need to know in order to make money by using the exact strategy that I just explained to you.
I didn’t know anything about making money with affiliate marketing before I started that training. It was and it is still completely free to get started. There are also premium features and tools that cost money but getting started is free. I pay for the premium features because they generate me much more money than I pay for them and that’s why I can recommend them for you as well.
Anyway, I don’t want to hold you too long. You can get started by clicking the picture below. I will send you a personal message inside the Wealthy Affiliate community. See you inside!
