What Is Remotasks?

Remotasks is a Get Paid To site that’s been creating a buzz lately. It’s a GPT established under Scale AI, Inc., which is a San Francisco-based company that specializes in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The fact that it’s catering to the above-mentioned market, you would expect Remotasks as a great Get Paid To opportunity, competing against the giants in the industry like Swagbucks and Survey Junkie.

Before we go through further details, let’s get to know the person behind Scale AI, Inc., Alexander Wang, a 22-year-old founder of a billion-dollar business, featured on Forbes.

Like Zuckerberg, Wang also left MIT and pursued establishing Scale AI, Inc., which is responsible for rendering data necessary for big companies like Airbnb.

The business commenced when it partnered with one of Silicon Valley's hottest accelerators, YCombinator, notable for investing in companies like Airbnb and Stripe.

Because of the billion-dollar scale of Scale AI, you could easily perceive that Remotasks, its recently developed GPT, is also good.

At this point, hold your horses, my friend.

According to its official website, they cater to international users. Therefore, they don’t promote exclusivity as the offers can be distributed across the United States and the world.

The problem here is that tasks concentrate mostly in the United States. Many of those with bigger offers cater to users residing with the country. In the end, you will not get as many good offers from Remotasks no matter how impressive their platform is.

If you sign up, you gain access to a wide variety of tasks from image annotation, categorization, OCR/image transcription, comparison, audio transcription, and data collection.

Based on the same source, Remotasks works with multiple companies and gathers the tasks to distribute for its qualified members.

This is why they can deliver as many offers as they can and compensate those members who delivered outputs.

But here's the catch.

Before you can enjoy all of these, you have to pass an exam. You have to take courses at Remotasks University before you start making money.

To start, you have to sign in using your Facebook account and/or sign up using an email address.

The more exams you take, the more chances you get better offers. If you like to see more about Remotasks, you can watch Roope’s review video below.

Who Is Remotasks For?

Are you willing to put in the work for some bucks? If this interests you, then, Remotasks could be good for you.

Remotasks is a Get Paid To site. Hence, you can’t expect to make hundreds of dollars or beyond that’s enough for your monthly costs.

If you take a look at how easy it is to apply and become one of Remotasks workers, it’s also easy to say how low you can get in this opportunity.

Remotasks Review Steps

It requires 4 steps to become a Remotasks worker and make some bucks.

On average, most payouts in any Get Paid To site will be more or less $12 per hour. And $12 is the highest rate based on Swagbucks’ rate. Just so you know, Swagbucks is Roope’s recommended Get Paid To site.

Given, it’s best to be realistic to see how much you could get when you opt to work for Remotasks and waste your time from accomplishing tasks. As I pointed out earlier, some tasks may not be available in your location.

This is because most survey-based or GPT types of side incomes rely on the qualifications of the workers.

In other words, if the offers target merely the American citizens, someone who resides outside the United States will not enjoy the same offer.

Are you getting me?

If yes, we’ll go deeper into some details about Remotasks and review some points by dividing them into pros and cons. This serves as your reference to guide you with your decision.

Pros & Cons of Remotasks

1. Legitimate Get Paid To Site

Despite the non-existence of a BBB profile, many reputable company review sites like Trustpilot showed good feedback from Remotasks’ workers and clientele. 50% of them approved the GPT site and the other half said otherwise.

Regardless, this is enough to prove its legitimacy, though we can’t determine if it’s an accredited company or not. Aside from that, we can’t say its top-notch customer services as its parent company has.

Trustpilot shows 50-50 rating from Remotasks' workers and customers.

2. Legitimate Payouts

If you watch the video above, you will see some workers showed proof of PayPal payouts. This means that Remotasks pays out even if it’s not a big amount. Yet, it’s still enough to prove this opportunity is legit.

3. Acceptable Rating From Workers' Perspective

As I mentioned before, Trustpilot showed good ratings based on the workers’ and customers’ experience with Remotasks. Glassdoor, a reputable company review site that gathers workers’ feedback, showed a so-so rating for this GPT.

4. Open For International Users

Remotasks as a GPT site is open for all users regardless of the location, unlike some GPT sites. It doesn’t promote inclusivity among the workers, though, at some point, the offers may not be available for all.

1. Low-Income Opportunity

This is the common concern among Get Paid To site workers because the income you make is not substantial enough to sustain bigger expenses. As a side income hustle, it could be a good option.

But don’t expect to earn hundreds of dollars or thousands of dollars from this kind of opportunity. In most cases, workers earn cents. If fortunate, they could earn $12 as a maximum range.

With that said, if ever you encounter a Get Paid To opportunity that promises high-income, be wary. Remotasks as a Get Paid To site doesn’t promise you lucrative income, though.

2. Noticeable Bug On Web Interface

When Roope tried the site, he faced troubles with the dashboard. Although the site is legitimate and the payouts are real, there is something wrong with the interface.

We’re not sure if it’s a fixable bug or Remotasks work like that since its launching.

3. Offers May Not Be Available For All

I already pointed this out earlier but I’ll put more emphasis on this one here.

Even if Remotasks doesn’t exclude users from taking advantage of the offers, there might be times when you won’t receive the same types of offers as those who are targeted by companies that pay well.

This is something you have to keep in mind, my friend.

Is Remotasks a Scam?

Given the information gathered in this post, it’s clear that Remotasks is a legitimate Get Paid To site. It’s not a scam for several reasons.

Firstly, they are reported to several reputable company review sites such as Trustpilot and Glassdoor. However, it would have been better if they had registered their profile on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) as well.

If they did, we could determine its accreditation status and its rating based on the customer service they provide.

From there, the review site can judge its overall profile and provide actual status for the company.

In Remotasks’ case, there’s none. So, there’s no basis we could gather except for the ones we see available in the public domain.

Regardless, Remotasks is not a scam. But it’s not a recommendable opportunity to try.

Conclusion - Is Remotasks Worth It?

No. Remotasks is a Get Paid To site that isn’t going to be worth your time and effort. Firstly, it’s a Get Paid To site.

As far as this type of opportunity goes, there’s no way you can earn a substantial amount of money from this one.

No matter how attractive and legitimate it is, it’s still not a recommendable opportunity for you to make money online. According to reports, you’re not even making $500 as a maximum daily income.

Regardless, Remotasks is a legitimate opportunity but it’s not worth your effort to try.
