Is Premier Designs Jewelry Recommended? No. Most MLM members lose money than they invested in many cases.

What Is Premier Designs Jewelry?

"Our founding principles are to honor God and serve others, and our purpose is to enrich every life we touched." This is how Premier Designs Jewelry started.

Andy and Joan Horner, the founders, found out that the only way they could fulfill that mission is to build a business. Out of all the products they could choose as flagship products, they choose pieces of jewelry.

With only 6 founding members, the team worked hand-in-hand to run the company selling their products of different designs.

While hovering the list of their products, they look great at first glance. Their official website featured many of their designs worn by models so people can imagine wearing them.

The styles vary depending on the materials used for each design such as:

  • Birthstones
  • Boho
  • Every day
  • Faith-based
  • Glam
  • Initial charms
  • Layers
  • Lite metals
  • Mixed metals
  • Pet (I assume this is pet-friendly.)
  • Tween
  • Versatility

Aside from different designs according to the look of the wearer, they also have a separate category for the pieces of jewelry based on the style sets.

They have a wide range of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, watches, charms, rings, jewelry for men, personalized items, accents, etc.

Below is a list of some of the top favorite aka best-selling pieces sold.

Some of the topselling pieces Premier Designs Jewelry sells

Based on the product list, each piece costs at least $20 and beyond. Pieces with silver as Cashmere, for example, costs $64.

Their top-seller Heather also belongs at the expensive range. If Cashmere with silver content in its piece costs that much, how much more with gold-tone?

Cashmere, one of the expensive Premier Designs pieces

This is what makes Heather an expensive piece because of the antique matte gold tone. "For a versatile, stunning look that's easy to pair with gold or silver," as written on the description.

In general, their product price ranges between $20 to as much as $90.

Who Is Premier Designs Jewelry For?

The company sounds like a good company at this point. They have a variety of products made from various materials. But how about their compensation?

Does Premier Designs Jewelry pay well to its members or not?

Hold tight as we’re going through the details of how this network marketing company pays out its members, leading us to analyze whether this is a good opportunity or not at all.

First things first. Remember Premier Designs Jewelry is a network marketing company. That means you have a 2-way possibility of making money here.

In some companies, especially that I reviewed recently, they require 3 main ways to make a profit or increase rank.

For example, if you are a consultant, you need to maintain a certain amount of generated sales based on the threshold set in the rank.

Firstly, you need to do is to generate personal sales. That means you have to purchase a minimum amount of products before you get into the company officially and launch a business with them.

Premier Designs Jewelry objectives, which serves as the foundation of their company

Additionally, you may have to pay a registration fee. This happens to some companies as well. If you have purchased beyond the mark, they might offer discounted products or a free kit.

Lastly, you have to create downlines because this is, again, a multi-level marketing company.

The income of your team also has its corresponding bonus. At the same time, it serves as the basis for increasing your rank.

As you noticed, I used the terms MLM, multi-level marketing, and network marketing here. Don’t worry. They are all referring to the same kind. The terms can be used interchangeably.

Going back to their compensation, we’ll determine what Premier Designs Jewelry requires from you if you opt to join them and make money.

Here we go, let’s learn how this MLM compensates its members according to their ranks.

Just because Premier Designs Jewelry reached its 25-year peak, it doesn't mean they pay well. We have to see it ourselves.

To join, you need to pay $395 for the authorization and application fee. As soon as you get in, you will receive the tools needed to launch your business.

  • The Premier Handbook
  • Videos
  • Audios
  • The Premier Home Office Staff
  • Your Premier Sponsor and Upline
  • Local and National Training
  • Jeweler Websites
  • Weekly Conference Call Trainings
  • Chance to learn from experts about handling a successful home show

Based on their compensation plan they called "The Premier Hostess Plan," you can make money with them in 2 ways:

  • Personal Retail
  • Sponsoring

How does this work?

In personal retailing, you get 50% from personal retail sales; half of it goes back to the company. In case you have home demos, you can also make an extra income from it.

Each home demonstration gives you $500 on average. For instance, you managed to have 4 shows, you get $2,000 in sales.

That means $1,000 goes to your account and the remaining $1,000 is credited to Premier Designs Jewelry.

The second way to make money with them is through creating your downlines. As expected, an MLM like this needs to grow by recruitment. Otherwise, the membership cycle stops, collapsing the company.

Unlike other jewelry MLMs like The Chloe and Isabel Jewelry, the ranks are named comically as:

  • Children (First level)
  • Grandchildren (Second level)
  • Great Grandchildren (Third level)

The Premier Hostess Plan includes 30% of the free jewelry pieces, 4 to 8 items half-priced, and a chance to earn a $25 bonus four times.

  • $25 bonus for holding a show worth $100 minimum
  • $25 having 10 or more adult guests (18 years or older)
  • $25 for 3 bookings for future home shows
  • $25 for having $100 in advance sales

As I pointed out earlier, you have to acquire a minimum order costs to get the jewelry samples depending on the sample package option. The membership application is done by filling in an application form.

The Jeweler's Choice Sample Package

Order 1 piece with a 50% discount from the retail price.

The Gold Sample Package

Apply and pay $750 to get $2,000 worth of products and extra 70 pieces of pre-selected jewelry

The Silver Sample Package

For $475, you get $1,200 worth of Premier Designs Jewelry products with extra 40 pieces of pre-selected jewelry.

Pros & Cons of Premier Designs Jewelry

As a member of the Direct Selling Association, Premier Designs Jewelry appeals to its target market. In comparison to other MLMs I reviewed, they have a simpler compensation plan.

With that being said, here are the top 3 pros and cons you have to consider before joining this network marketing company and start selling pieces of jewelry.

1. Wide-Range of Products

As you can see below, Premier Designs Jewelry has produced different stunning yet minimalist designs to cater to the people’s fashion needs. Each style has its corresponding material used.

Similar to Chloe + Isabel Jewelry, the whole team is inspired to create more fashionable pieces apt for different occasions. In that case, the target customers have a lot of options to choose from.

From a seller’s perspective, it can be a good advantage for marketing and promoting the company’s vision concerning the commitment of producing good jewelry.

Premier Designs Jewelry membership costs with a new $95 offer per year.

2. Simpler Compensation Plan

Just like other Direct Sellers out there, Avon, for instance, they have a simpler compensation plan structure in comparison to Jewels By Park Lane.

Premier Designs Jewelry doesn’t follow the typical system in which there are a certain number of Personal Value (PV) as other companies in the same niche do. As far as compensation is concerned, no complicated situations are likely to occur.

3. Good BBB Reputation

Since there is no expected complicated situation to arise in Premier Designs Jewelry, you could be confident to build a business with them.

Not only did they appeal to their customers to try their pieces, but they also managed to register on the Better Business Bureau (BBB), which is a reputable review site.

According to the profile, they got the highest ratings of an A+, meaning they have satisfied the platform regardings its information, providing good records and resolutions to customers’ complaints actively.

Plus, they are also an accredited company.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) gives an accreditation status to Premier Designs as well as a high rating of an A+.

1. Expensive Startup Cost

If you take a look at Jewelry By Park Lane collection, you need to pay around $300 to get the jewelry samples and start a business. Stella And Dot asks around $500 to get access to the pieces of jewelry and other collections.

Premier Designs Jewelry asks $395 for the membership costs alone.

2. Bonuses Heavily Rely on Home Shows

You don’t make much money as a Premier Designs Jewelry member. The only way to earn more bonuses is to get as many home shows as possible. Other companies call it the Host Parties.

With them, you get $100 worth of bonuses that will be given to you as long as you qualify the conditions. You must have more than 10 adults to join as well as the advance sales.

Other than that, you can’t ask anything except receiving 50% discounts on most of its products when you reach a certain threshold for the specified bonus you like to reach.

You can't blame the members for being pushy. Their biggest bonus relies on the home shows.

3. High Requirements to Go Next Level

As I pointed earlier, most network marketing companies that follow a typical MLM compensation require expensive startup costs.

Not only that, you have to spend more or at least earn more to generate more sales on your account.

Once you do, Premier Designs Jewelry would compensate you according to the rank you reached or belong to. Firstly, you need to spend $395 on the membership application alone.

If you recall the minimum worth of purchase to get access to the jewelry samples, you need to spend almost $400 to get in. And if you want to achieve a higher level, you have to generate at least $500 in sales.

Is Premier Designs Jewelry a Scam?

If we refer to the information I gathered to write the post, there’s no doubt that Premier Designs Jewelry is not a scam. Although some customers found issues on the product, this isn’t enough to say that this MLM is a scam.

A network marketing company can only be considered a scam if there’s no real profit from an unreal or damaged product. In the worst scenarios, if the company isn’t even real at all.

In Premier Designs Jewelry’s case, they have a real company and the products exist. The only issue I found here after scouring the internet for feedback is that some customers are dissatisfied with the product quality.

"Almost every piece of jewelry that I bought from this company has turned a really strange color. I've not paid anything less than $50 for some of these items," a dissatisfied customer wrote on the forum.

She added, "They are tarnished beyond recognition after such a short time. The bracelet is tarnished and the charms fell off. The paint is peeling off the colorful necklace."

Here's the catch.

A piece of costume jewelry from Walmart is a preferable option because it lasts longer than the pieces Premier Designs Jewelry sells.

Conclusion - Is Premier Designs Jewelry Worth It?

At the beginning of the post, we assumed that Premier Designs Jewelry could be a good opportunity to try. That is based on the variety of products they have and the number of years they exist.

For almost 30 years, the company gathered tens of thousands of active jewelers around the world. Based on these, insight can be given. It could be a good company to deal with.

However, as we went along the discussion particularly the compensation plan, we saw a lot of issues. Firstly, the compensation structure is quite limited as we notice from most direct sellers.

Secondly, the startup costs are quite expensive. Perhaps, this is the norm for  MLM selling pieces of jewelry. If you think selling these brings you more income, no.

Just so you know, only a few members can benefit from most of it. Unless you book more home shows, you can earn $1,000 on average at least. That is if you have 4 scheduled bookings within the period.

Otherwise, you will not earn much. Do you think you can sell more pieces of jewelry in an MLM? No. Most people prefer shopping for them, paying a high price after seeing them in person.

In this case, you don’t have any access to Premier Design Jewelry products if you aren’t willing to spend almost $400 on the membership application alone.

Yes, making money online enables you to travel around the world and an ultimate freedom but you must be willing to work for it.

Because of these, I suggest you look for other business opportunities out there. Nowadays, most people prefer making an income online since it allows more flexibility on their part.

They don’t have to leave their lofty homes to make money, earning more than the members. You don’t need to go after the chase to generate sales as they do. Why?

If done right, people see your products and buy them even if you aren’t online or at your most convenient time to sell. No specific threshold for the generated sales needed because it’s up to you.

You define your success. And so does making an income online. If you want this kind of opportunity, why not click the green button below to get started?

It’s your decision.

Now that I shared my thoughts on my “Premier Designs Jewelry Scam Review” post, it’s time to turn the table and ask about your experience, in general.
