What Is Kyani?
Based in Idaho, Kyani, Inc., simply known as Kyani is a Multi-Level Marketing company offering nutritional supplements and services to their clients just like Vida Divina, who’s also in the same niche.
Founded in 2005, the company is registered on Better Business Bureau a year after. They’re an international MLM with branches in different countries, USA, Australia, Canada, and the Philippines.
The founders chose the name, Kyäni, because they claim it’s defined as “strong medicine” in the Alaskan language. As an alternative, they use Kyani for the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) purposes and convenience of everyone who’ll refer the company.
According to the site’s records, they have 4 primary products: Kyani Sunrise, Kyani Sunset, Kyani Nitro, and Kyani Nitro Xtreme, which have been the founding products since 13 years of existence in the industry.
These products are made of the main active ingredients, wild Alaskan blueberries and sockeye salmon, comprising the “Triangle of Health.” That said, the MLM claims once you join the company, you gain “more health, more wealth, and more life.”
Important Background Information
As I dug deeper about the company, Kyani does appear a legitimate company with fewer issues when it comes to their products and clients if BBB’s records are concerned. However, when I looked into Truth In Advertising records (TINA), it seems there are claims I find sketchy.
TINA’s independent research revealed that Kyani doesn’t literally mean “strong medicine” as the company insists in their marketing. But when they reached out to the Native Alaskan to consult whether their claim is true or not, they found out it’s the latter.
They learned that there are 2 different words which directly means “strong medicine.” They’re latseen náakw or náakw áwé latseen.
In addition to the company’s shady marketing tactics is telling others that there’s no exact word that defines heart disease, cancer, or diabetes. Yet, the natives gave an exact word for each of these.
Because of these, Kyani CEO Michael Breshears responded that the term doesn’t directly link to “strong medicine.” Rather, it’s the founders coined term, a modified version to mean “strong medicine” without consulting a Tlingit speaker in contrast to their claim in the marketing material.
What Do They Offer?
Basically, they have 4 primary products. As I’ve mentioned earlier, they comprise the following items, which they claim “containing the Native Alaskan superfood.” They also define it as “Triangle of Health,” categorized in 2 options:
- Kyani Triangle of Health FX Pack
- Kyani Xtreme Triangle of Health Pack (Packets)
Based on their shop, they mentioned the ingredients playing a role along with the Native Alaskan blueberries and wild salmon. They include Vitamin B, C, D, nitrates from the Noni fruit, Magnesium, as well as Zinc. All of these go into the system of the consumer in liquid form.

Kyani Compensation Plan
Among the other MLM companies I’ve reviewed so far, Kyani does a great job of unveiling their Income Disclosure Statement. Based on the file they shared on the site, they wrote the possible ways you can earn as one of their active distributors.
Kyani’s Income Disclosure Statement
How To Make Money With Kyani?
Above, I showed you the company’s Income Disclosure Statement. At this junction, I’ll explain thoroughly how you can earn in the company based on their compensation plan.
Now, as an active distributor, you have a lot of ways to earn an income in the company by selling their “Triangle of Health” products in your region.
In Kyani, you have as much as 6 ways to maximize to earn a side income (if not, a full-time income) by recruiting and selling more products.
Yet, that will only happen if you recruit your personally sponsored Business Partners in your downline under the Placement Tree; or, recruiting someone directly under you per level. From Level 1, you position your new Business Partners under your team members which will be Level 2. The same process goes on downwards.
Under this system, you can earn via Team Bonus or Generation Check Match.
According to their official compensation plan, they wrote the following bonuses once you get qualified in a particular rank and higher:
Personal Customer Bonuses
- Retail Profit Bonus
- Customer Bonus (worth 60% per order, minimum of 25 QV)
- Customer Builder Bonus (monthly bonus calculated from the combined 750 QV, 2,500 QV, or 5,000 QV)
Independent Business Partner Bonuses
- Team Bonus
- Differential Team Bonus
- Fast Start Bonus (payable within the first month)
- Power Play (minimum of 100 QV with 3 personally enrolled customers with 150 combined QV within that month)
- PayGate Accumulator (residual income calculated through monthly CV generated under the Placement Tree)
Kyani’s PayGate Accumulator
Of course, like any typical networking company like Amway or Jeunesse, they base the compensation by ranks. In the case of Kyani, they qualify the new Business Partner as an eligible distributor once you reach 100 QV monthly from either personal purchase of from your Team Sales.
Below, you see the rank chart based on the Placement Tree Qualifying Volume (QV)

As for Leadership Bonuses, you have the following:
- Diamond Pool (1.5% Global CV per month)
- Red Diamond Pool (0.5% Global CV per month)
- Infinity Bonus (Black Diamond)
- Kyani Driver Your Dream Car Program
- Incentive Trips
Kyani Products Reviews – What Others Say About The Company & Products?
Referring to BBB, there are 31 customer complaints filed against Kyani over the years. And the majority of these reviews are positive. In fact, they recommend the MLM as a jumpstart because of its legitimate Return of Investment (ROI).

A customer named Bryan confirmed Kyani’s statements that their products work because of its active main ingredients. He said that since he took the Kyani products, he noticed he didn’t take any form of medication for his pain and inflammation due to arthritis complications.
The same thing with a woman named Debbie, who wrote the same. She’s satisfied with the products because of lessened back pains to the point she doesn’t need more therapies.
Albeit the positive reviews from lots of satisfied customers, there are a few who said the opposite. One of them said, he got a horrible experience right after he signed up for the distributor package worth $2,000. There are still more complained filed on BBB.
TINA added there are some complaints targeting the “unsubstantiated health and income claims.” They’re actually referring to the 100 products in which Kyani insisted these same products can treat cancer, diabetes, fibromyalgia, anxiety, and many more diseases.
Further, they also questioned the recruitment procedures wherein they pointed the underlying illegal pyramid scheme tactics implemented to lure potential distributors to sign up in the company. Hence, it appears they care about recruitment than sales (Sponsor Tree bonuses).
Pros & Cons Of Kyani Products & As MLM
Cons
- The underlying illegal pyramid scheme
- Focusing on recruitment than sales
- Use of false facts for marketing (a coined term for Kyani)
- Forcing distributors to agree to 4 Legal contracts (difficult to leave the MLM company after signing up)
- Inconsistent 100% money back guarantee (only 90% return possible)
- Distributors sell the program than the products
Pro
- Effective products
- Legit MLM
- Reasonable QV for ranking purposes (not too aggressive against other closest competitors like
Kyani Products Reviews Conclusion
The moment I knew Kyani products are about selling items with a mixture of the Native Alaskan wild blueberries and salmon, I remembered a similar product made of another superfood from Brazil. That alone, it provides clarity to my doubts about what Kyani is all about.
Kyani has the potential to become a pyramid scheme because of its sketchy marketing tactics albeit the effectiveness of their product.
I’ve tried superfoods like Kyani provides, however, it seems that they’re asking too much for something worth a few bucks.
For Kyani Sunset Alone, one of their flagship products, costs SRP $43.95, distributor price worth $35.95, and preferred customer price $39.95. In comparison to Acai Berry, this product is way pricey versus an average price of $12.28 with similar active ingredients.
Moreover, the fact TINA recorded more problems with Kyani’s marketing tactics had me the most concern. If people failed to read my post or at least hear something about this network marketing company, they’d fall into a trap and resent later on.
They literally used the term to name the company without really consulting to the Native Alaskans for facts.
Roope’s #1 Recommended Program
I had quite a few experiences when it comes to joining MLMs over the years. I knew their intentions are legitimate and their products’ effectiveness. However, the more I got to know about these companies, I realized that my decision of cutting ties with the MLM is right.
Just like Amway or Kyani, they provide nutritional products, which for me, is great but with an upcoming risk. You don’t know the side effects of these products to you. And because they’re an MLM, you can’t simply retract your registration simply because you’re not satisfied.
You have to follow a certain protocol like Kyani’s 6-month rule before you leave the company for good. (You know you have to sign 50-pages of legal documents in various forms).
Now, to prevent these kinds of pyramid schemes, I have a better suggestion for you.
