Best for: People who want to earn a side income by selling medical care membership plans while recruiting to get promoted to a higher rank and earn bonuses later on.
Summary: Ameriplan is a Multi-Level Marketing company offering different medical care membership plans to American citizens for almost 30 years.
Is Ameriplan Recommended? No, although there are a lot of good points.
What Is Ameriplan?
Ameriplan, also known as Ameriplan USA, is a Multi-Level Marketing company that offers financial aid to medical care across the United States since 1992. For 27 years, they provided opportunities to people by inviting them to join the company as a Benefit Consultant (BC).
For more than 2 decades in service, with a monthly plan worth $24.95 to $39.95, you can take advantage of the various high-quality health care. Hence, it’s a network marketing company that functions as a health savings plan from dental fees to vision, prescription, chiropractic, and other medical plans.
Important Background Information
Although they’ve been in the MLM industry for almost 30 years, surprisingly, they’re not an accredited business based on Better Business Bureau’s records. Albeit the A+ ratings with an average of 4.5 customer ratings, the Texan-based MLM remains an uncredited networking company.
Their official website stated they have been serving the American citizens since 1992, but they actually opened as a company in 1989. Hence, they have been operating for 29 years now under the alternative business names, Ameriplan Dental Care, Inc. and Ameriplan USA Corporation.
What Do They Offer?
Basically, they provide 2 plans namely:
- Ameriplan Dental Plus ($24.95 per month for the entire household)
- Ameriplan Deluxe Plus ($39.95 per month for the entire household)
In the first option, you’ll take advantage of the discounted medical care expenses when you do either the dental, vision, prescription, hearing, or chiropractic services.
On the other hand, the second option allows you to avail the same services with the addition of 24-hour access to any doctor either by phone call or email. Along with these benefits are access to Hospital Advocacy and Ancillary Care.
Ameriplan’s membership plans to choose upon joining the company
You see, Ameriplan offers affordable plans, however, you’re obliged to pay the registration fees worth $20 if you opt to avail the Dental Plus membership and $30 for Deluxe Plus.
In total, you’re paying $44.95 for Dental Plus and $69.95 for Deluxe Plus membership registration. That’s only for the first month. You’re going to pay the recurring fees worth the original fees (without the registration fee).
Another downside of this program is the exclusion of the other American states in contrast to their mission of providing discounts to medical care to all US states. Among the states where Ameriplan doesn’t serve are the following:
- Alaska
- Guam
- Montana
- North Dakota
- Puerto Rico
- Rhode Island
- South Dakota
- Vermont
- Washington
- Wyoming
- US Virgin Islands
- Utah
They also clarified on their website that they aren’t providing insurances. This is what you should keep in mind. Don’t treat Ameriplan as a substitute for your current insurance plans. Just don’t.
Ameriplan Compensation Plan
Ameriplan boasts their “robust compensation plan” for their Benefit Consultants worth 40% commission per initial payment on all members who decide to join the company. Plus, each BC can earn a residual income of 40% in case if you maintain good standing in the business.
If you achieve a higher rank (Regional Sales Director and beyond), the company will not hesitate to compensate the efforts to reach that rank by paying lucrative overrides.

How To Make Money With Ameriplan?
Earning an income from selling Ameriplan plans is the only way you can earn more in the company. Because that’s the basis of earning in this MLM. You have to recruit more people to earn a 40% commission per membership registration.
That means if you surpass the monthly average PV, you’re likely to get promoted to a higher rank, activating your capacity to earn bonuses only those of the higher ranks benefit and enjoy.
Hence, you have to work harder while you’re at the bottom to make sure you can get your seat at the top and maximize the residual income from the higher group.

Ameriplan Reviews – What Other Say?
Although Ameriplan has been in the business for so many years, however, there are still observable flaws.
When I dug into the itty-bitty details of the company, I noticed suspicious reviews on Glassdoor wherein a few people say the same lines to describe their experience as Ameriplan’s BC.
Ameriplan’s suspicious reviews on Glassdoor
You see, if you aren’t careful in your research, you might have set a fire for yourself and get into trouble. You notice these 2 wrote the same lines, though they try too hard not to be noticeable. But in my sharp eyes, I assume these reviews are done by the same person.
Most of the reviews tackle the poor customer response, which lies under the jurisdiction of the customer service section.
The negative reviews, based on the majority, pointed out the “inability to remove their credit card from their system” resulting in continuous charging of annual fees although these BCs already left the company.
On the brighter side, Ameriplan seems to have handled the case professionally by responding to these concerns and refunded them soon after they received the complaint without questions asked.
For me, this is a great thing to note because most of the MLMs I’ve reviewed lack at this junction. Most customers and even their own affiliates or distributors complained the poor customer service or inability to refund their membership, stuff like that.
In their case, Ameriplan does a great job in handling these inevitable errors. However, they could have resolved these sooner or at least made actions to prevent these concerns from their BCs or members even if they decide to leave the company for good.
Pros & Cons of Ameriplan
Cons
- Inability to remove BC financial records as soon as they leave the company
- Exclusivity of other US states (as their company name suggests)
- Focuses on recruitment to earn commissions & overrides
- Difficult to sell medical care vs insurance companies
Pros
- Maturity in the business (29 years as an MLM)
- Affordable medical care membership fees
- Professional in handling the issues
- Legitimate MLM
- Clear compensation to hard working BCs
- Robust compensation (40% per PV)
Is Ameriplan A Scam – Conclusion
Not really. Ameriplan is a legitimate network marketing company with real services to offer to American citizens across the country.
Just like any Multi-Level Marketing companies like Amway or Forever Living, they have their own downsides affecting your decisions whether you join the company as one of their BCs or not.
Yet, your chances of earning high in this network marketing company remain thin as it clearly relies on the number of recruits you enroll to make sure you earn high and increase your chances to get promoted.
Another hurdle you have to go through is their differentiation with America’s top insurance companies who are also giving the same thing or targeting the same market.
Now, if you were in the shoes of the member, would you spend $527.40 per year for discounted medical care? Would you rather spend your bucks to guaranteed medical care from an insurance company per se?
This is where it gets tricky. How would you convince people to join the company, given that the Americans already have the option of enrolling to an insurance company?
