Are you wondering is I-Say Survey legit or a scam? This article will answer your questions.

I wanted to give I-Say a closer look because one of our readers said he is using this website regularly to earn extra money from surveys.

When I was about to sign up, I realized that the website is not available in my country. So this review is based on my research and many other people’s experiences of this website.Who knows if they’ll expand to my country or I’ll move to a country where I could use their website?

Who knows if they’ll expand to my country or I’ll move to a country where I could use their website? Anyhow, I wanted to find out whether this I-Say Surveys would be a great opportunity or not.

I-Say Survey Review

Name: I-Say (Also Known As Ipsos I-Say)

Type: Online Surveys

Short Review: I-Say has one of the highest payments for answering surveys in the industry. However, based on my calculations, your overall earnings won’t be very much more than $3 per hour in the long run.

In addition, many accounts have been closed and sometimes you receive only a few survey invitations per month.

That’s why I feel I don’t miss anything even though I can’t answer their surveys. There are way better opportunities out there. For example, One Hour Translation just recently paid me +$40 for using around 70 minutes of my time translating their texts. That’s way better than you could ever imagine on I-Say Survey.

Affiliate marketing is even better because sometimes I earn $175 while sleeping or $130 while I’m walking from the library back home. If you would like to earn such passive income, start this training for free today. (I’ll send you a personal welcome message inside the community.)

What Is I-Say Survey?

It seems that I-Say is available in a few countries like the US, Canada, and the UK. I couldn’t use it in Austria or Portugal so I needed to make a research based on other people’s videos, reviews, and articles of I-Say. That’s not a problem because I have experience of 70-80 similar websites so I know what is the name of the game with these sites.

On I-Say you get paid for answering surveys ( the survey is a series of questions regarding some products or brands). When you have answered enough of them and reached the minimum threshold ($15 or £10), you can cash out the money through PayPal or by gift cards to Amazon, Target, iTunes or to other stores.

Ipsos offers also a possibility to give the money for the charity if you want.

How to Make Money with I-Say Surveys?

Here are some examples that I’ve seen of their survey offers:

  • Earn 45 points for answering a 10-minute survey.
  • Earn 45 points for answering a 20-minute survey.
  • Earn 45 points for answering a 2-minute survey.

You can see that the last offer is obviously the best one because you can earn points in 5 times faster time than in 2 other offers. The offers vary and sometimes there aren’t new surveys available.

For each survey that you fill out, you’ll earn 10-100 points. If you keep on answering their surveys, even more, they’ll reward you with bonus points. After you have answered 5 surveys, they’ll offer you 20 extra points, after completing 10 surveys they give you 50 bonus points. These bonuses are supposed to keep you motivated but they aren’t very significant.

Ipsos I-Say offers also a community for their members.

How Much Can You Earn with I-Say Surveys?

100 points equal to $1. If you can accomplish all those reviews that I mentioned above in their target time and your Internet connection works well, your earnings would be around $3,20 per hour. That’s way below the minimum salary in I-Say’s target countries.

In addition, my calculation of $3,20 per hour is probably even quite optimistic. You won’t have surveys available surveys all the time so calculating an hourly salary doesn’t even make sense. You’ll lose lots of time over the time checking their website/your email regarding available offers and answering surveys where you don’t get qualified.

They only want to get very targeted audience answering I-say surveys. If you aren’t a part of their target group, they’ll glad you with a message like, “Unfortunately you weren’t qualified for this survey opportunity. We hope you have a better like next time.” At least, they give you 5 points for answering pre-qualifying questions.

Ipsos I-say advertising makes the opportunity sound appealing but the closer looks tell you that it’s most likely not worth it.

I-Say Referral Program and Cashing Out

You can earn some extra money by referring your friends and audience to join I-say surveys. You will usually earn 100 points (=$1) for each new member that you refer. However, I-Say has also had promotions when you have been able to earn more for referring new members.

If you want to withdraw your money as cash through PayPal, the minimum amount is $15 and you need to collect at least 1,530 points.

If you don’t have the patience to wait for so long, you can use it for their raffle by using 250 points. However, with raffles you can naturally lose all your points.

I-Say Reviews & Complaints

Here are some statistics that I collected of I-Say reviews:

  • 1,8 out of 5 stars on SurveyPolice based on 331 reviews.
  • 3,4 out of 5 stars on GetPaidSurveys based on 82 reviews.
  • 4,1 out of 5 stars on Google Play store for Android phones based on 4,554 reviews.

One reason for good reviews on Google Play store could be that many teenagers are using a smartphone and they are not looking for so big income. Many of them are happy for just earning $1 here and $2 there.

However, my advice for all teenagers is that don’t waste your valuable time on apps like I-Say.

The most recent reviews of I-Say on SurveyPolice described the service like this: (these are the titles that they used in reviews)

  • “too much time wasted”
  • “Deactivated Account”
  • “Disappointed”
  • “Below Average”
  • “Will cut you off if you’re making too much.”

Val says he wasted too much time with I-Say Surveys.

These are all titles of I-Says that I was able to find on the front page of reviews. Doesn’t sound very promising, huh?

Ipsos I-Say has an interesting fine print in their terms & conditions. Their rules state that in the event of an error, Ipsos reserves the right to make adjustments to your balance or reduce points at their discretion.

As a result of this rule, many accounts have been closed and they are claiming that I-Say is just a scam site fooling their members. Even though I don’t think that I-Say is a scam I find that rule a bit suspicious.

Conclusion – Is I-Say Worth It?

Based on my research, I-Say is not worth it. I would be earning at least 10 times less than on other make money online opportunities. That’s why I don’t see a single reason why I would like to fill out spend time on their website. I don’t have a burning passion for answering surveys just for fun.

However, I have a passion for creating and producing something new. I enjoy reviewing different services and informing you about new opportunities.

I’ve had the moment many times in my life when I’ve said, “I wish I would have realized this opportunity earlier.” That applies, for example, to stock market investing and earning money with affiliate marketing.

I wish I would have started making money with affiliate marketing already when I was 15 years old. Now I could be a millionaire. Anyhow, we’ll never get back the past and the best choice is to take a full benefit of this moment.

Now I’m making good money with affiliate and I’m working for earning a free trip to Vegas including flights, hotels, food, extra cash ($200), etc.

If you want to open your life for such opportunities, I recommend starting Wealthy Affiliate step-by-step training for free. It was a game-changer in my life and I believe it could turn your life around as well if you want.

I’ll also give you my 1-on-1 support and mentoring inside the community. I am open for all questions you have. I want to see you succeed! 🙂

  1. Sounds like the earning potential is way too low, even for people living in cheap countries. That time spent here is much better just being used somewhere else that you can use to get more money, both in the short term or long term. This just doesn’t sound like it’s worth it at that rate.

People might think answering surveys is easy and mindless, but by doing that you are sharing your life experiences and your personal information, and not to mention your time and effort, which I think should be worth way more than just $3 per hour.

    1. Hi Fantasia,

Kingcool mentioned before that it’s quite fast to answer their surveys. (Of course, it requires a good Internet connection and a computer.) Still, I don’t think that this website is worth it. Answering surveys pay just little money which is even way below the minimum wage.

  2. Answering online surveys really irritates me. This such a waste of time for me. They’re such a liars when they talk about earnings just to convince you and this leads them to have a bad review and rating.

Sometimes i notice how they get good ratings from other reviewers if some are not satisfied with their services and i think they are the one who rates their own website and tell everything which is not true.

Well i understand why they are doing that it is because business but my advice is that instead of posting fake information why don’t they try to improve their service to their clients and let end users rate their site.

    1. If survey sites owners would tell about the real earning potential, most people wouldn’t ever join them. So, they use their cheesy marketing speeches to get lots of people using their systems.

I don’t know how they could really improve their survey services because they can’t really offer more money. Maybe they would need to be more creative.

      1. That is my point they will never tell the truth unless you tried their service but why they don’t just be fair to other sites which gives you a reliable information about their website and what you can get from them? This reminds me of my networking days which really disappointed me and repented that i joined and wasted a money into it. Some people are great influencers that is why we are fooled oftentimes.

  3. Seems dodgy to me, earning per hour or a survey each day is inconsistent. let’s say I have 2 surveys, finished it within 20 minutes each, so il get 90 points, 100= $1 so to have 100points I need one more survey but we dont know how many surveys are available and how long the survey will take you so, it very hard to compute how much you’ll gonna get in an hour. However, if you have lots of available surveys then you can probably earn a lot, this can make money if that so.

I can earn 3$ or more per hour with hard work and perseverance but if i-say will give extra income why not as long as there’s an assurance that it will give a lot of surveys.

  4. I continue to have doubts with most of these survey sites and your review about this particular survey site, I-Say Survey, has tightened my doubts about most of them. I’m just imagining, if their surveys can’t be run in your country, Austria, then we that are staying in Africa have got little hopes of making it as well on the site.

You also pointed out about closing down of accounts by the site owners, which in my opinion might be as a result of most of the users that are in countries that they don’t approve of using VPNs to find their way into earning on the site. I mean it shows that participating on the site, once you’re not in countries that approved is a waste of time no matter the tricks one employs.

    1. Hi Henry,

yeah, I-Say Surveys are not available in Nigeria. At the moment it’s only available in UK, US and Canada.

In my opinion, survey sites are not worth the hassle anyway. I’ll just stick to affiliate marketing and Wealthy Affiliate. It’s interesting to look for new opportunities.

I have so many ideas how I could make money with affiliate marketing but I don’t have enough time that I could execute them all at the moment. Probably I’ll build a team in the near future so I can outsource most of my work for other people. I’ve already done at some level but I should start doing it more to scale my online income.

      1. Hi, Roope.

I will be happy if I’m considered when you start outsourcing works for other people that wants to earn on the internet. In as much as I don’t have the basic experience to earn on most of the other sites I’m that type of person that believes in getting better on a daily basis. So, I will be glad, if you consider me when the time arrives.

  5. Their survey offers are actually a lot better. They have offered me 50 points for a 5-minute survey sometimes. Their longest survey is around 20-30 mins but they offer 250 points for those. I have never got a survey that is longer than 5 minutes that still offers me 50 points.

If you are looking to earn a constant revenue then survey sites aren’t the best but this is perfect for a bit of side revenue especially since the surveys don’t take that long. The 20-30 mins surveys can be done within 10-15 minutes really.

    1. Hi Kingcool,

thank you very much for sharing your experiences. It means that your earnings would be around $5-8 per hour maximum? That’s way better than on other survey sites. Still nothing very significant because these surveys are only available in the U.S., Canada and United Kingdom. Of course, $5-8 per hour is better than nothing but it’s still around the minimum salary.

I think I-Say Survey could be something to start out when earning money online but I wouldn’t recommend it for the long run because there are way better opportunities out there.

Anyway, I appreciate very much for sharing this opportunity and your experiences with it! It beats other survey sites like 100-0.

      1. I wouldn’t say $5 – $8 an hour because like most survey sites, you can’t make an hourly wage from a site like I-Say. Very rarely will you get multiple surveys per day where you can earn a lot of money.

A normal job is definitely better than this. It definitely is a lot better than other survey companies out there but you cannot rely on it as a method of income. Sometimes it will not have surveys for a few days, other times they will have around 2-3 surveys.

        1. Yeah, that’s true. I just like calculating the income based on the time that I have used.

I just did a quick translation on One Hour Translation. It took 20 minutes and I earned $11. So, I think that my hourly income was $33. Then I know that time was well spent. If the income for that translation would have been significantly smaller, it wouldn’t be worth it .

  6. So Mr. Roope are you trying to tell me that affiliate marketing is more faster and more rewarding than I-SAY. And what are the steps in becoming good in affiliate marketing.

    1. Hi Anslem,

      yes, that’s what I’m saying.

In order to become good with affiliate you need a proper training and knowledge. Most people fail because they don’t know where to start. That’s why Wealthy Affiliate is great because it takes you step by step from 0 to success.

Then you just need to get started and your “hands dirty”. Start building your website, email list and/or social media presence. We make many mistakes along the way but learning during the process is a part to success. It’s important that you get support and tips from other affiliate marketers as well. Wealthy Affiliate provides that as well because you can easily connect and network with other ones.

Then the last step is persistence. Sometimes you don’t feel like doing anything even though you know that the process works. Then you just need to remind yourself what is your goal and vision. It will keep you going. I know this from my own experience. Most of the time I enjoy affiliate marketing but there are sometimes days when I don’t feel like it but I still keep on going because I enjoy the process in the long term.

I hope these tips will get you started. Let me know if you need any further help. I’ll send you a personal welcome message inside Wealthy Affiliate when you create a free account through my website.

  7. Another online survey job that is definitely not worth getting myself into. All of them pay too low and rarely give you a survey that you are actually eligible to answer.

As I have always ranted on my previous comments, online surveys complete waste of time. There are other online jobs that offer better payment. I’d rather use 10 minutes of time watching videos in Snuckls than answering online surveys.

    1. Hi John,

yeah, answering surveys won’t make us rich. 😉 However, as Kingcool showed before, I-Say survey is probably the best survey sites out there. Still, the earning potential isn’t very high.

For me it’s a bit hard to understand why many people use time on get-paid-to websites while there are way better opportunities out there. Wealthy Affiliate training teaches to earn a living online and make 100 times more money than any survey site would ever pay.

Of course, it takes time to build an affiliate business but after the work is done, the money just keeps on flowing in even while you are not working.
