Wood Profits is sold as a turnkey product to help you to earn $90,000-150,000/year with a woodworking business. It doesn’t only promise to teach you a few ideas and steps but actually a risk-free way to make BIG money online.

If you are new to making money online, this kind of claims may sound attractive for a while. I remember that at the beginning of my own online business journey I was so excited listening to the sales speeches of the new products that promised to teach me how to make money online.
However, after listening them for a while, I realized that 99,99% of the products that promised such a big income easily, were scams. That’s why it’s right away a huge red flag for me that Wood Profits is promising you so much money.
Fortunately, I found a legitimate way to make money online that nowadays makes me a living and enables me to travel around the world while running my own online business.
Wood Profits offers you in reality just a 53-page Digital eBook and a supporting audio recording that you can listen while driving the car or when you are on the go.
I’m just wondering why don’t they tell it right away that they just want to sell an eBook. But then I found out that they are also lying about many things on their sales page.
Let me show you in a moment but before that for those of you who don’t know, I’ll quickly explain what is Woodworking.
What Is Woodworking?
Simply put Woodworking is a skill to create products from wood.
These products can be for example furniture like chairs, tables or basically anything that is made from wood, even a pen.
As long as there is a demand for these products and you have the skills to do them, you can make money with woodworking.
Now if you are really interested in making money with a woodworking business, I recommend reading until the end of this article where I will teach you a 4-step process to make money.
However, I will not promise that you will make a $100k/year business in 2 weeks or something outrageous like Jim Morgan from Wood Profits is promising.
I am only going to teach you how to build a legitimate woodworking online business.
Is Wood Profits a Scam? UGLY Truth…
Now comes the most revealing part of this article so I recommend reading very carefully. I did a comprehensive research on Jim Morgan and Wood Profits and I was able to find out that they are faking almost everything!
Let me give you just 3 examples:
1.FAKE Testimonials
There are several testimonials on the Wood Profits landing page that are praising the system and explaining how awesome it is.
One person who is giving his testimony is a man or persona called Marc Buckner.
When I saw these testimonials for the first time I was thinking, “Wow! So many people are saying positive things about Wood Profits. This must be a good guide to build a woodworking business!”
However, I did a little bit of research and found the UGLY truth behind their shiny testimonials. The testimonials seem to be made up and FAKE.
Let’s take for example Mark Buckner. Actually, his image is taken from Shutterstock, Big Stock Photos or another stock photo bank online.
Actually, this is not the first time when I see a business guide online faking their testimonials. For me it’s a big scam sign and I completely prefer staying far away from such systems.
2.FAKE Authority Proof
You can see the following image top of the Wood Profits sales page. There is a logo of CNN, Entrepreneur and USA Today with the text of “As Seen On”.
Seems that Wood Profits is faking their authority proofs.
Wood Profits is clearly claiming that they have been featured on these famous media channels. By doing that, they are trying to get more authority and trust in the eyes of their buyers.
However, I did a research and tried to find any mentions of Wood Profits of any of those media channels but I was unable to find it.
If Wood Profits would really be so famous, I think that it should be much easier to find them on media. Unfortunately, the truth is probably that Wood Profits is not famous at all and they are just trying to fool people here…
3.FAKE Founder!
The landing page claims you that Wood Profits is founded by an older gentleman called Jim Morgan. Just by seeing his smiling face I started thinking that this can’t be a scam.
However, I still wanted to make a research as we always should do before investing money on some products online and I found out another ugly truth.
JIM MORGAN SEEMS TO BE FAKED!
The picture of Jim Morgan is also taken from the stock photo bank. This time they are using iStockPhoto.

- The Strategy That Wood Profits Is Using:
Wood Profits is using stock photos of the elderly men and they don’t seem to show any real person’s face.
Therefore, the real founders of the program are hiding behind these pictures. They are doing this probably because if they would show their own image, they would lose their reputation as human beings for being scammers.
The reason that they are using pictures of the old men with a white beard is that they are obviously targeting that audience with their product.
Usually, people who are interested in woodworking are those who have already passed the middle age. Of course, that doesn’t always apply and there are lots of other people who are interested in the subject but that’s the biggest single audience.
In addition, images of elderly people build more trust than young teenager in t-shirt and shorts. Wood Profits has taken all these FAKE testimonials, FAKE authority proofs and a FAKE founder in order to build trust and fool their audience.
Legitimate Way to Build a Woodworking Business

This will happen automatically when you write the content because people will find your website on Google.There are nowadays more than 4 BILLION people online and millions of them are every day looking for information about woodworking.The fourth and the most exciting step is earning revenue with your website. There are many ways how you can make money with your website but the strategy that I recommend goes like this:
- You leave links to your favorite woodworking products for example to Amazon.
- A visitor comes to your website and clicks any of your links and lands on the Amazon website.
- When he buys ANY products within 24 hours, you will earn a commission.
Notice that you will earn commissions for ALL the products that your visitors shops on Amazon during the next 24 hours. You don’t need to have any of your own products but you can make money by promoting other people’s products. Of course, you can also promote products on other websites than Amazon but I recommend Amazon because millions of people are already shopping there everyday and everyone trusts them.That’s why Amazon is the best for beginners. If you have more experience, you can also promote woodworking products on other online stores and make a nice income.
How Much Can You Earn with My 4-Step Strategy?
Even though I make a living and I also have friends who are making +$10,000/month online using this 4-step strategy, I am not going to promise you anything like Jim Morgan (or the group behind his scam) does.But I will show you an illustrative example that shows you the earning potential.
If I would create a woodworking website, I would certainly leave a link and a short review to the best-seller following product:
It’s a Dewalt Max Torque Variable Speed Compact Router Combo Kit.
The price of the product is $199,97. To keep our example easy, let’s use the price $200. It’s also possible that the customer doesn’t only buy this specific product but adds a few other ones making his shopping cart $250-350 in total.
I don’t need to guess whether or not this product is good because people are absolutely LOVING it. There are 655 reviews with an average rating of 4,6 stars out of 5.
You could write a short review of this product summarizing the main features and mentioning a few positive reviews that people are saying about it.
People will find your review on Google and they will come to your website. From your website you direct them to Amazon and people buy them. You can see that already 10,000’s of people have bought this product on Amazon.
Let’s say that 100 people would buy the product through website and Amazon would pay you a 5% commission (there are sites that pay even much more by the way!). $200 * 100 purchased products makes $20,000 and with a 5% commission it means that Amazon will pay you $1,000!
Can you imagine? One short review of this Dewalt product can make you +$1,000.
What if you would write reviews of 10 similar products and make the same commission? That would mean $10,000 to your pocket.
What if you would write short articles of 100 similar products in a year and make the same commissions? Now you would have a potential to make +$100,000. And once the reviews have been published on your website, they will remain their for years to come and keep on generating you more revenue.
Do you start seeing the potential?
Of course, this is just an example and your earnings will highly depend on your efforts and willingness to work but there really is a potential!
