What Is Respondent About?

What Is Respondent About?

Welcome to my Respondent.io Review!

Is it possible to earn $1,000 by participating in research? That’s what we’re going to find out in this post.

But before we dig into that, let me first remind you that it’s not a quick-rich scheme. Roope and I aren’t a fan of that.

If you think you’re ready to toil some soil, then, you’re in the right place. Through participating in some research studies and earn an income from it isn’t new. It’s one of the most common ways to make an income online.

The thing is that you have to get through the strict conditions they set for you and pass the quality standards before you can reap some dollars from it. If you do, that’s great.

If not, you have to read this post to make sure you can get through its terms and successfully get into their system as one of its bonafide participants in exchange for an income you surely will enjoy receiving.

Are you ready? Let’s get started.

What Is Respondent About Logo

Summary: Respondent.io, as the name suggests, is a research-based company in which they focus on market research studies. The companies are in search of qualified participants to join a certain study needed for further improvements in services, products, etc.

Is Respondent.io Recommended? Yes, it is recommended if you are qualified as one of their respondents and able to provide legitimate answers to questions they may have as a requirement for particular research.

What Is Respondent.io?

Respondent.io is a research-based company in which it focuses on, obviously, researchers from the company in search of qualified respondents. It’s the same thing as eBay market research, which plays an essential role in the business.

Millions of big companies like IBM are doing this to improve their services for their stakeholders. Hence, more research, more money.

If you think this is just another survey site like SiteMonkey, no, it’s not. Unlike the typical sites paying cents per set of questions, Respondents.io pays higher for a 30-minute or an hour work. If you want to test it out, you can click here.

In fact, they pay an average of $140 per hour. They already paid millions of dollars to research respondents. That’s a lot of money, my friend.

Not only should you receive incentives (including taxes) from each project you do, you can also make money from referring people to join you in the project you applied (or got screened) or to simply sign-up on Respondent and get projects themselves.

Referral Rates:

  • You earn $50 for each referral you invited for a certain project you applied.
  • You receive $20 for each referral who made $75 from their projects.

If you would like to know more about this, you can watch Roope’s video tutorial below:

Who Is the Respondent.io For?

As we always say, everything you learned on this site isn’t quick-rich schemes. You have to work, toil some soil for a while before you can reap the harvest later on.

That means you have to spend some time to search for the research (called projects on their site) that fits you. You can’t just randomly apply for a project if you think it doesn’t fit your background.

This is because the companies linked to Respondent.io do a purposive sampling method for their study, intending to improve their offers or products they’re making.

With that regard, you have to make sure you’re answering the questions they ask as seriously as possible because your responses will serve as their bases for their services.

Let’s say, IBM wants to improve its software and selects a group of people to interview and gather information to target their goal. Out of 1,000 participants, only 100 will be interviewed and get paid. That’s just for an example.

Companies do purposive sampling method to select the qualified participants in their research studies.

Companies do purposive sampling method to select the qualified participants in their research studies. Not everyone can get paid for a particular project. You need to be selected first.

So, they will go through selective sampling on Respondents.io and will pay a certain amount in exchange for the answers given.

Your submission will vary depending on their requirements. They may come as survey forms, interview questions, or they may ask you to record a video and/or audio for your responses.

Based on my previous research on survey sites in the past, Respondents.io is different for various reasons:

  1. They pay high for each project. My first suggested project on my dashboard is worth $75. If I get qualified for the study, I can get the money immediately, payable via PayPal.
  2. They pay a lot for referrals. You can see the referral rates above.
  3. They are a link between you and the giant companies in the search of legitimate respondents for a study.
  4. They have high ratings on various review sites and tons of positive reviews on forums.

If you see below, these are among the positive feedback Respondents.io receive from respondents who made a lot of money from simply participating in a 30-minute work or spending an hour answering questions.

Pros & Cons of Respondent.io

From various articles I’ve seen online and feedback from people who have their first-hand experience with the company, it depicts more pros than cons, which are listed below:

1. Lots Of Positive Reviews

On the G2 review site, there are 40 reviews in which they receive 4.5 out of 5 ratings from the participants who made money on the site.

According to Arun T, a software developer, Respondent helps in creating a channel between the companies’ market researchers and to future products and the people.

“[Respondent] helps us to connect with research groups in top organizations to have a look at their beta/early-stage products. [Respondent] gives us the pleasure in helping create [an] impact [on] products by sharing suggestions and interacting with quality researchers,” he said.

Respondent pays well. This participant received couple of hundred dollars from a 1 hour work.

2. Legitimate Company

Giant companies like IBM, Allstate, Huge, Canvas, Alation, and eBay Classified Group are among the customers they have. These companies link to Respondent for searching qualified participants to market studies they have.

As I mentioned above, market research plays a vital role in targeting the right customers for a product or service they provide.

So, companies like Respondent.io are important to them as they are the way that channels towards the right and qualified participants to their research.

3. High-Paying Company

Within 3 years since they started the company, Respondent has already paid millions of dollars to participants across the globe.

In contrast to the typical survey sites you encounter, this company pays well and right for the work you contributed to each project.

Besides, who’s not willing to get paid $140 per hour, right? Of course, it’s enticing and often, it’s considered a “too good to be true” offer.

Not only the high-paying projects you receive, but they also pay extra dollars from referral fees.

For example, for the first 5 participants, you referred to Respondent, you could get $250 immediately. Excluding other referral rates for simply inviting someone and made money, too, from the project they acquired.

This is my Respondent dashboard with $75 project awaiting for qualification as a participant and get paid.

1. Takes A Long Time To Get Project

You can’t assure you get qualified as a participant for the research. The companies determine the selection of respondents they think fit.

If you aren’t notified by phone or email that you’re accepted, you won’t get anything. That also means you’re not the right person they’re looking for in a study they want to conduct.

So, you have to browse more projects and hoping to get more projects and get paid.

2. Few Scams & Negative Feedback

Apart from a dozen positive reviews I come across from forums and review sites, there are a few people who complained about the scam within Respondent.io.

They stated that some companies invite you for an interview, but then, they ended up asking you to purchase a product in exchange for your hourly rate as a participant. However, this doesn’t happen all the time.

Additionally, some reviewers revealed that Respondent’s reputation wasn’t as good as before. According to Mariana M., Respondent is a good company but has gone downhill.

“I’ve been a Respondent participator for over a year. At first, it was great! I was able to participate in several market research opportunities and made around $300 which paid quickly and the researchers were professional and courteous,” she said.

She then added with dismay, “In the last 6 months, the quality of surveys has gone down as has the researched contact. It’s almost impossible to qualify for studies, the researcher does not get back to you and some seem to want too much personal information.”

3. Horrible Customer Service

Alex Monae previously complained about Respondent’s inability to respond to her concerns.

She mentioned, “I have emailed Respondent three times and customer service has not responded at all. They don’t have a phone number. Email is the only communication for customer service. I would not recommend this company to anyone else.”

Is Respondent.io a Scam?

Definitely, not. Although there are faults Respondent did to ensure 100% participant satisfaction, you can’t deny the fact that there are a lot of people who are grateful to get paid by simply contributing to market research.

There is no perfect company. There will always be downhill at some point. It is inevitable as there’s no perfect system in everything.

For instance, out of 40 people who reviewed the company on a forum, there are around 2 people who find something negative to say about Respondent.

Respondent receives an average of 3 out of 5 star ratings from Trustpilot reviewers.

Respondent receives an average of 3 out of 5 star ratings from Trustpilot reviewers.

Needless to say, this company is not a scam. It is a legitimate company which big brands rely on for market research.

In return, they pay you, as a participant, with a decent and fair amount of money for a half-an-hour or an hour’s work.

Again, it’s one of the highest paying research companies out there. If you want to try this out, you can click here.

Conclusion – Is Respondent.io Worth It?

Given the information I gathered about this company, this deserves a clap. Applause or standing ovation, perhaps. Why? There’s no way you doubt its legitimacy in the first place.

Both Roope and I tried Respondent. So far, we don’t have any problems using it as one of the other ways to make money online.

For me, as a writer who ambitions to become a published author, I have no qualms on becoming a participant and make $75 from the first project with only an hour of work.

Regardless of the reason for participating in Respondent, this company is a legitimate company that’s worth trying this year. There’s nothing to lose. Besides, you can register for free.

All you have to do is to confirm your identity and answer the interview questions promptly and you get paid. That’s it. Apart from that, you’re getting commissions from your referrals as well.

In general, Respondent.io is worth your while. You can try it out and see yourself how it works for you. You can click here to get started and earn your first dime.
