It’s curious that some people see opportunities everywhere while other people seem to be blind for them.
Imagine two people walking around and thinking about their lives. The other one (Let’s call him Jamie) is complaining about his job, relationships and health. The other one (Bob) offers him help. He sees opportunities.
Bob is an entrepreneur and offers Jamie an interesting job. But Jamie refuses and says, “I can’t take that job, I’m incompetent.”
Then they talk about relationships. Bob gives advice what has helped him in relationships. Bob tells that before his relationships weren’t so good but he saw the great opportunities to make them better. Now he offers his help to Jamie. But Jamie refuses.
Jamie is overweight. He needs to lose about 20 kilos to have “normal weight” again. Before, Bob was also overweight but then lost 30 kilos in one year. He knows how to do it. He knows how to change eating and exercising habits. But Jamie refuses to listen.
Are You Bob or Jamie?
You are maybe thinking, “Why you are telling me this story about two weird guys Bob and Jamie?” Let me explain.
When you see people around you, some of them are like Bob. They see new opportunities everywhere. They love to explore new things. And they succeed.
Spending time with people like Bob is usually quite inspiring.
Then you know the people who always tend to fail. At least, in their own words. They don’t see many opportunities. Actually, they tell you things like, “I’m not talented or I’m slow to learn.”
They have hope. But they have closed their eyes.
The crucial question is, Are you like Bob or Jamie?
What Bob and Jamie Have to Do With Online Businesses?
You may be wondering what this story has to do with my website’s theme, “Learn to Earn Online”.
Some people close their eyes from opportunities on the Internet. Nowadays, it’s certainly possible to work full-time with an online business.
If we go back two years in time I didn’t know that earning money online could be possible. I didn’t see the opportunities. I had a lot of prejudices about earning money online.
I thought that in future I would like to have my own website but I didn’t know that it’s also possible to earn money from websites. I had thought, “Maybe some gurus earn something with ads.” Thanks God, I see more opportunities today.
The Internet serves also for million other things. You can affect millions of people on the Internet. If you want to make the world better, the Internet is one great place to start. You can also learn from the best teachers in the world.
I could be talking hours and hours of the opportunities of the Internet but you probably know them quite well (at least if you are Bob) ;).

Wealthy Affiliate has opened my eyes a lot to see more opportunities. I know that making money online is possible. I have learned how to get more traffic, how to build websites and a lot more things.

I am a engineering student, and there is 4 more years before I can finish this course and get a job. That 4 years seems too long for me and I badly want to earn already. So I researched online jobs or part time jobs in the internet, and I’m shock to see that there are a lot of opportunities online. It doesn’t matter if you are not able to finish your studies or you are still studying, if you really want to earn you can find a ways.

Internet gives us really new opportunities that there has never been in the history. We can reach even millions of people literally anywhere from the world. You can live in Finland (my home country), United States, China, Indonesia, South Africa, Kenya, Morocco etc. Literally ANYWHERE in the world. The only thing you need is a laptop and an internet connection.
In addition, they are developing internet connections and laptops all the time. So making online business becomes easier and easier because the devices are getting faster.
There are so many ways in which a person can make money on line to the point where it seems almost crazy, and the great news is that any body can do it. the key is in knowing where to start and what to do. I believe that affiliate marketing is just so great with all that it offers, one of the keys is becoming successful in writing good content and like you said just keep writing and tell you become good at it. You website is clear and so easy to follow, i like how you break it all down. Great job.

This article is so true in our daily lives. I see a lot of Jamie in my workplace. You see, I am in the health service industry and primary job is to advise people about treatment and lifestyle issues.
You might think that people would pay attention to what’s dear and near to them, but in reality, many people don’t listen. They are too distracted with their own lives and don’t really prioritize what’s important.
The most common behavior I see is people not taking action. They would spend so much on a product or service, bring it home and do nothing about it. It’s very shocking and sad.
On the contrary, people like Bob, who always seek to learn and to improve their health are those who thrive the longest. They don’t spend exorbitantly either, they understood the concept from the very beginning and simply follow through.
I can’t tell you how much I learned about online marketing by servicing my patients.

It’s interesting to hear that many people that you advise at your work refuse to listen. They are too busy with their own things. As you said, they don’t really prioritize what’s important.
Taking action is definitely the key to success. Before I was more like “thinker” but nowadays I like to be “doer”. It doesn’t mean that nowadays I don’t think at all. It means that when I think and get a great idea, i do it. I put it into action.

As I read your blog I was glad that my name is Bob. (Robert) thanks for making the point. I guess that because I was drawn to your site I am more likely to be ‘Bob’ but I in fact know a lot of Jamie’s.
I wonder why so many people are to busy to see opportunity. I am not sure if I want to be involved with the internet, but your letter has gotten me to think about it. I’ll probably check it out. I mean, why wouldn’t I?
