Let me start saying that getting your own domain is nowadays dead easy. You don’t need special skills or knowledge.

Would you like to have your website’s name be “yourwebsite.wordpress.com” or “yourwebsite.com”. I prefer the latter.

Those brands are worth millions (or even billions). Having your own domain gives you credibility and reliability because your visitors will recognize you easier.
